Good to know it performs well in the country. Even though it's intended purpose is in the name itself. Made for walking about in a city setting. Still, good to know it can pull double-duty in the woods.
I bought the shillelagh to try out the brown cap came off so now I’m carving my own shillelaghs used it once for defence certainly gets job done Irish knew what they was doing. I also had the African stick I gave both to friends greetings from Essex 👍🇮🇹🐾🦊
Thank you for this review. I, also, need a cane at times due to bad knees. I like the smashingly good videos, but this one is refreshing since it is by some one that actually needs one to walk with.
I like mine a lot but the black outter coating can chip off when hit against something or scratched accidentally. Very classy sportsman item the City Stick I'm gonna use a black Sharpy to make it blend back in. 😊
Interesting review. I got the "African Walking Stick", but it's pretty heavy and has a very huge knob. I think about buying this city stick now. Did you need to shorten it a little/ The African Stick is a little too large for me.
Try the cold steel shillelagh, that's a heavy thing. The African walking stick is nothing in weight compared to the monster stick... I recently bought the black swift stick, that's light and slim and very fast if you hit someone.
This is a City Stick not a hiking stick, it is met to be used for self defense in the city. California and New York have declared any cane with a ball for a handle to be a weapon and illegal to carry that is why they changed the design.
It's best suited to city's and towns because of it's looks but work just as well in the country. I never knew they changed the design. I hear everything's illegal in New York and California
Thank you for this! A great practical video. Any decent cane can bludgeon a person with it. But how is its height? How does it look? These are more realistic review points. Again, thank you!
By light version you probably mean Slim Stick. It doesn't flex to any noticeable level at all. The Slim Stick is made of pretty thick carbon fiber walls. Pretty good, but it has been discontinued for a while now.

Thanks for the "non smashing" review! Gonna get it.

Cali and New York are places for asshole Democrat politicians, vote republican or other to solve those issues.
Useful video. Thanks for posting. Does anyone know if this stick can be shortened?

Been tempted to get one of those, but i am afraid i wont be able to pull of wielding one for another 20 or so years haha!
Haha same here
I want one, looks capable, ouch!
I too have this walking stick and I put a rubber end on it to stop damage to the stick.
Ps you can find them on ebay !
Ferrule
Synthetic sticks should Doo well in the wood not only for walking but as defence
Awesome video
Hello. I purchased a City stick for my father. Id like to get one for myself but replace the head. Can you tell me the bolt thread size used?
6mm
My only problem with the city stick is that the steel Knob is not hardened the steel is soft.
The knob's 6160 aluminium
Nice.
Did you make it shorter ?The Walkabout is perfect for walking in the woods
Its the original length, i was looking at the walk about, might get it some day
