Berm Park's Hardest Trail - A Close Look At Every Feature And How To Ride It!

- Опубликовано: 26 сен 2024
- We ride Berm Park's hardest trail called Roll The Dice, and I discuss every feature and how to ride them all! Berm Park is a free public bike park in Canton, North Carolina, made possible by Seth from Seth's Bike Hacks and Berm Peak youtube channels. He brought everyone together to protect the land and fundraise to build trails for the public. The greater Asheville area has tons of tech trails, so this was an opportunity for more bikepark style trails, which are lacking. There's everything from Green to Double Black, and the ratings are specific to this park, so this double black is not as difficult as a Whistler Bike Park Double Black.

I live in Knoxville Tennessee by Baker Creek /Urban Wilderness. Berm peak looks great, I will need to come ride there with the crew!
Nice, I've heard the new stuff in Knoxville is really fun, I haven't been there in a long time. You'll love Berm Park, it's a great place to spend a day and then also ride Pisgah and Riveter and the other great spots around Asheville!

Roll the Dice:: a CompetitiveCyclist Trail. An association my indoctrinated, ringing ears will NEVER forget. Thanks!
Haha gotta give credit where it's due, I love seeing companies support rad trails getting built!!

Hello
What's up!!
Btw thank u for responding
Eric! Can we get Diamond Back to release some retro styles on the jersey front? Like Mike Dominguez strike zone style art?
Hi Love your vids you should come to the Eagle mtn bike park and try out the jumps
Hey! Thanks! I actually went to the opening day jam, it was really fun, I'll be back!
This video made me buy a POC helmet just now
Nice, I love mine!!
Got lucky. They had last years model on clearance for $114. Current model is $175, rep said there was no difference that he could tell. Couldn’t use the code but still got a great deal. Thanks again
Eric, when you say “lean in” to the wall, you mean making it so your tires are perpendicular to the wall, right? I think of this as leaning away since you want your shoulder far away from the wall.
Not trying to be a pendantic jerk wad. Just trying to understand.
Thanks for the videos!
Hey! Great question, no need to apologize! You got it right, when I say lean in I mean tires perpendicular to the wall, the same way you would lean over when riding a berm. A classic wall ride mistake is to be too vertical, which will cause your tires to slip down the wall, so by leaning over and getting your tires perpendicular, it keeps this from happening, and allows you to pull off the wall at the end, almost like bunnyhopping off of a flat surface.
I'm sure there are many who appreciate the clarification! Sometimes English isn't very clear with literally opposite sounding terms.
Hey dude im getting a New bike for a friend and I have to choose between 4 bikes.. it All depends in wich fork i better
Rockshox reba sl 29 VS Sr suntour raidon 29 raidon VS fox 32 or a bolany 100mm fork??
is seth gonna add more trails?
I think more trails are in the long term plan!
Do you have to book to go
what Dback are you riding there?
I'm riding the Release 5C in this video, it's what I rode most of the time this year!

when ya gonna launch from flat to the natural rock wall ride down to the dirt?! lol
Oh man, there are so many possible transfer lines at Berm Park, I would love to go back and see how many I could find, that one you called out definitely looks fun!!
I se you
We barely get to see Milo and Owens full suspension bikes make a video on there bikes or something PLEASE and THANKS
Here's a video I made last month setting up their new bikes, hopefully that covers it well for you!

thank u for the sharpie man!!! and am i getting the posters...do you have my address
Aaron Lutze (Super Rider) just posted an old clip of you doing a rail grind on your fork (without pegs). Do any grinds lately?
That's cool you saw that, Aaron is a good friend and it's rad to see him posting all these older clips! I haven't hit a rail in years, but I would love to do one again at some point. That clip he posted from Spain is actually the last rail I ever did, it got really annoying having to take my rotors off to be able to 50/50 rails like a BMX bike, except without pegs. Maybe one day though!
@@PorterMTB Haha, nice! Yeah, having to take your bike apart to do a trick doesn't sound like fun.
@@mattgies plus they are scary and dangerous haha, knocked my teeth out once when I messed up on a rail!! 😬😳
@@PorterMTB Yikes! In that case, I retract the suggestion

Looks like a great trail! Who sponsored it??
I think Jenson did?
@@halfgeek1394 I heard chain reaction
Haha hey gotta give props when a company throws down big for fun trails to get built so we can ride them, when I was growing up we never had trails like this!!
@@PorterMTB for sure! Great video. That first wall ride looks mint

Hey I never said that, I also support my local shop! There’s room for everyone here, and both options are doing great things for the bike community. In this case Competitive Cyclist was able to make something good happen for the community on a large scale, and I think that’s really cool.
