Brother Nie was a great character and how much he loved Wei Ying to bring him back for Lan Zhan. He trusted those two to solve the problems to lead to the great ending 😘
I agree with Bambi Lemieux that Clan Leader Nie admired, respected, and cared about Wei Ying like a favorite brother. The two of them hit it right off at Cloud Recesses. I also think that Brother Nie recognized early on that Wei Ying was talented and skilled beyond all others. WY would be just the person to set on the trail of betrayal, secrets, and underhanded doings.
