I wonder if they used UN peace keepers with the UDR, South Irish Troops and British troops to build up impartiality of troops/peacekeepers, would this reduce the sectarianism. Plus more moderate loyalists and republicans groups in the early 1970’s were keen to negotiate a political solution ie Britain recede and a United Ireland emerge. Extremist groups on both ie loyalists and republicans sides would use terrorists tactics and horrendous acts to coerce and force their political views, it was a complete disaster. 😢😢😢

It will ensure these groups will never be championed nor remembered as anything more than Britain's sectarian police force and army in Ireland.
