Expected a simple tech demo for the Dualsense. Got a masterpiece platformer filled with heart and nostalgia. Such an amazing little game. 10/10, had plenty of fun going for the platinum

just finished this game yesterday, and let me tell you, it’s probably one of my favourite games now. the immersion from the DualSense controller makes it even better. i absolutely love Astrobot and i hope they make more games of him.
In VR though. Because that's where he belongs.

@@lolfunny7533 It's confirmed PS5 would support almost all major PS3 and PS4 titles. Also as PS4 supports PS1 and PS2 emulation, most likely PS5 would also support PS1 and PS2 games.

It's mainly there to demonstrate what kind of stuff the controller can do with it's new features.

It makes me so happy that 3D Platformers are getting their time in the sun again that I could cry. An entire genre just goes MIA for 15 years as if nobody wanted this type of game anymore, and now its back.
Honestly, it feels as if they have taken the game out of the games. Everything is trying to be super realistic when the idea of gaming is to escape from the real word. This massively reminds me of Sonic Adventure and the Dreamcast days!
15 years? Even Ps4 had more then a few platformers. Little Big Planet 3, Knack 1 &2, astro bot, ratchet and Clank, and a few multi platform games like crash and Spyro

Sega only make budget games nowadays, and previously the biggest audience for Sonic games has been on Nintendo hardware, so a hardware pushing exclusive isn't on the cards, unfortunately.

Astro's Playroom is the most fun on my PS5 I've ever had. The unique features involved with the duel sense controller really makes you feel like your in the surrounding environments. Also the amount of references and hidden easter eggs in this game is so worth looking out for. Not to mention the platinum is really easy to achieve. This experience for me was honestly a 10/10. Can't wait to see what they do with Astro and the PS6.

I’m here after Astro Bot’s reveal…
For those wondering how you'll ''feel the world'' it is a bit more complicated then just the controller shaking. It will instead sense within 0.3 nanoseconds what Astro is feeling, mental physical you get the idea. Then it will release tiny needles in to you skin which has chemicals in it synthesized in the dualsense controller (thx modern technology!). It will inject those chemicals into your nerves which will make you feel what Astro is feeling.
Oh and if you are unsure whether or not the chemicals will be safe don't worry it only a 0.2% fatality rate!
Note: Don't use your controller if you have wet hands.

Aw yeah, my fave VR game, the only one where everything always looked and stayed perfectly real, not a polygon or pixel in sight. Hard to imagine it can be improved upon graphically but any new Astro is welcome af.

Welmosca Visually astonishing work, pick any object and get it as close to your face as you like and the reality of it never breaks down. It seems like there’s some doubt if this new game is VR compatible though, a shame if not.
The most amazing game experience of my life... I really miss being "there" in this world. Just sitting around looking at the sky from above the treetops, or the ocean... stunning. And yeah, graphics were so reliable, you could look underneath leaves, steel bars, whatever... it WILL be improved upon massively by a new VR headset. Which is what I'd hoped for to hear about in the presentation. Not yet... but the new console look clearly looks like the old VR headset already, and like Astro Bot no least, so there's hope ;-)
My favourite vr game was wipeout but i did really enjoy this aswell. Thought it wouldn't be that amazing but it was wonderful
This is definitely a tech demo for the dualsense controller
Although the fact that the controller is able to shock the player worries me a little bit
I think we all know where players want to be shocked
It definitely wont shock you its only going to vibrate

This game was absolutely adorable and so fun. I loved collecting the artifacts and the graphics were amazing. The boss fight at the end was so fitting and awesome. I got platinum on this game and it was worth it
