I used to play the Synths in a group in the 80s. We were very successful and had some great hits. Seeing how you program these today makes it look so easy. Please keep it up, your a breath of fresh air xx
For those that want to know. The original used a Roland Juno 60, Roland SH 09 controlled with a CSQ-100 sequencer and the drums are MkI Movement Systems MCS Percussion Computer.
Love your channel and videos. I don’t even understand 5% of what you’re doing but I’m mesmerized by how well you put it all together! Keep them coming.
Oh gadzooks, this was fun to watch you break down this classic song riff. And, a 2nd thanks for showing actual sound programming. Not a bad sounding little synth, too. Kudos.
That synth is a beast I wish it was out 2yrs ago when I got my Volca Keys and that synth hook is iconic possibly one of the most captivating riffs of all time ..❤
I saw an interview with Dave Stewart years ago, and he said that part of that amazing snare sound is a bass drum pedal slapping onto a metal storm door.
Este Canal es genial. Me sorprende como no tiene más seguidores. Bien editado, producido, filmado y por supuesto con un carismático presentador lleno de talento. Felicidades y en poco tiempo los veo con muchos más seguidores y llenos de éxito.
Subscribed. Im now,and have been using Acid DJ to do my synth work,as well as a digital moog. The digital moog is VERY in depth and takes A LOT of learning. But its a lot of fun.
'Oh Santa won't you buy me a IK Uno synth...' You're right the little synth sounds big, loads of parameters in the editor to tweak, you could easily make a whole track from the sounds you could create from it. ✌️😎👍
I have just started to watch your channel, when today sweet dreams came on the radio and I thought this is one for Doctor mix, thankyou here it is already done two years ago. :)
One of the best songs and Synth lines ever. Every song I hear I want to hear it remixed with Sweet Dreams. In my head I can hear all these remixes like: Bad Romance (Sweet Dreams Mix) Doctor Who Theme (Sweet Dreams Mix) Sweet Dreams by LaBouch (Sweet Dreams Mix) I wish I had the gear and the talent to make those mixes.
It’s so freaking inspiring to see people being this passionate doing cool stuff like this. I don’t know a thing about music making but I do love listen to it. Anyways keep up the awesome work! Cheers from Mexico
na Virusie TI 2 keyboard mogę to zagrać bez żadnych dodatkowych sprzętów mało tego można na sekwencerze wtyczkowym zaprogramować arpeggiator żeby pod 1 klawiszem grał sweet dreams i wrzucić na multitimbral i dorzucić jakieś brzmienia do dogrywania melodii ;p miałam gdzieś gotowe brzmienie sweet dreams w bankach ;p
I love your videos, Dr Mix. I love your recreations, and this one is no exception. My only minor disappointment is that you didn't include the boomy kick that "kicks" it off. Otherwise, awesome video!!
Love this, but there’s yet another couple synth tracks hiding in the original laid on top of each other isn’t there? Or do the original Rolands just sound thicker and nastier? :) would love to hear this on an old Korg ARP or Moog.. Super crunchy!
Nice video, I was able to replicate some of this synth on a electric bass but felt I needed more. That and a deeeeeep drum kick, and the right set of speakers... So I got this Casio CTK 501 keyboard, pretty standard, pretty cheap, surprisingly has MIDI ports, which means I can do A LOT... I just need the right USB Midi I/O. ... and check if those ports are still alive! Somewhere I have to start from, isn't? I'm just so anxious I can't wait.

I love your videos man. I love synthesisers and today I purchased a Micro Korg from Juno. I really want to learn how to play it and use it properly. Thank you for your videos, I really enjoy them. Best regards Josh
Wow, my whole life I’ve been hearing that second last note in the melody riff as something slightly higher pitched! Maybe it’s a harmonic thing between different instances of the same synth.
Love your work mate, you've just earnt a subscriber :) I've been practicing and self-teaching music production for a long time...i still struggle to complete a track, yet compile one.
This one almost made me buy an Unosynth for my last purchase. [went with minilogue instead.] I can't remember which video, but you talked about the arpeggiator on Never Ending Story in one of them. A breakdown of that song by you would be amazing.
Hi Claudio, I tried to download the tracks to create some reconstructions of pieces you made like sweet dreams, soundstorm, but they don't arrive in my e-mail
What does a house sound like? If the mono Synth sounds as big as a house does that mean the sound only stops when it reaches the size of a house so anywhere further is nothing?
I always got the impression that int the original the attack values fluctuated depending on the note where some of them sounded backwards almost, and in the case where a note is doubled, the previous note hasn't actually finished when the next one is played, a common trick to make it impossible to duplicate the sound exactly.
I used to play the Synths in a group in the 80s. We were very successful and had some great hits. Seeing how you program these today makes it look so easy. Please keep it up, your a breath of fresh air xx
@Amanda-Jayne D. Cooke - as a music-loving child of the '80s, I'd love to know which group you were in!
you're a breath of fresh air.. not "your"
@Deplorable Dave Why are your feelings hurt? Are you also a school dropout?
raknoknak It would have been okay to correct the OP, but you did it in such a unnecessarily condescending manner.
What group we're you in
Your energy is so positive. Love your vids.
he has a very fun job by the looks of things
How many watts?
It's because he's Italian. Trust me, I'm Italian.
Anch’io. 👍🏻

You sir, know your s**t!
Vince Clarke got a bargain when he bought a Movements Systems Drum Computer off Dave Stewart for £500.
@@jaggass I wish there were samples available from the Movement, I love the way Phil Collins used it on "Hello, I Must be Going"!
Damn!
Ok!
Thanks 🙏
Sweet, ill buy them all righttt Nowww.wwwwwwwwww

Sweet dreams are made of SYNTH.
Who am I to disagree?
Hahaha!! Well pmayed sir, well played.

You are so gay
I travel the world and seven synths. Everybody's looking for some synth.

Some of them want to play you
Some of them want to get played by you,
Definitely one of THE MOST iconic and recognizable tunes ever created.
I am thankful I live in the right time to have witnessed it. :D

Are you looking at my search history? Just the other day I have been looking for a Sweet Dreams deconstruction. Nice one.
I saw an interview with Dave Stewart years ago, and he said that part of that amazing snare sound is a bass drum pedal slapping onto a metal storm door.
Great video! Classic song, have you ever done I can't wait by Nu Shooz?
Este Canal es genial. Me sorprende como no tiene más seguidores. Bien editado, producido, filmado y por supuesto con un carismático presentador lleno de talento. Felicidades y en poco tiempo los veo con muchos más seguidores y llenos de éxito.

Does the UNO Synth throw wild cards?
hahaha
nah, but it has 8 crazy oscillators LOL!
Draw Four!
Skip, Skip, Draw Four Wild - RED
I had no respect for Synth until discovering your channel, now I have much respect.
One of the earlier DSI synths (PolyEvolver or such) has a preset programmed with this...love it
I recreated the same lead patch on my FA-06. I did some of the same similar steps with the oscillators and detuning
I'm loving these how-to-play videos of simple synth tracks. Really good for getting to grips with my Circuit Tracks. Thanks!
You forgot to add the bass drum
Yeah, odd that he would make a big deal out of the snare when the kick is more important in this song.
this whole video made without a bass drum :(
It's all about the bass!

Thing is, this guy is so over-the-tops talented, he could recreate any song with a tuba.
Doctor Mix, can you make a video to explain the “spatial” string sound on Santana’s Moonflower and Europa... please! Thanks !
Just bought one, thanks Doctor!
Awesome Claudio. Would be neat to have some commentary about the original synthesizer(s) that were used for us analog nerds. 🙂
Nice as always ! 10/10

80s and 90s were glorious dance/techno beat music. The God of music was generous and gave us lots of inspiration lol.
Ritter Sack late 80s music gave us 90s best music. 80s and 90s more similar to any decade of music.
Ritter Sack Ok thank you for the extensive info and old is gold when it comes to knowledge.
Very good but isn't there a crash type sound before the pattern starts each time?
dude you are the best... if you make a remake of do the hustle that would be awesome... or some other cool disco song!
