As a hard second aficionado, and anti-meta enjoyer, I've been testing every possible non-engine for beating Snake-eyes and I have come to a lot of the same conclusions. I've ended up just playing Ariseheart turbo. I'm not sure what engine you can play to have enough hand traps to stop Snake-eyes besides Snake-eye without bricking since Snake-eyes wins the long game, and going second and trying to board break is just too late. You cannot let them ever get their resource loop up and running. It really is just floodgate or mirror match.
Evenly matched x3 in Paleozoics, princess doesn't trigger on normal summon ie Lilith, ojama blue, wannabee... Just saying (Lava and Sphere are for Omni negates and evenly the rest) Raise to full heights, Dinomischus etc
Its really funny seeing you say "I dont see how the board breaker approach works." When last regionals I won the majority of my matches against fireking/snake-eyes with 0 hand traps going blind second lol I'm def not saying its the best way to go but If I only played vs fireking I would be much happier with my going 2nd deck.
Thoughts on kash control this format? Obviously if you open shifter it's great but going 1st feels pretty solid too no? Unicorn and fenrir are both very impactful endboard pieces. Cutting players off of both combo and recursion.
The most fun YCS Vegas top would be Floowandereeze, Runick Stun, Kashtira and Spright. Would be a slap into Konami mouth, only thing better would be if the players take conscience and boycott the event!!! Tier 0 is a issue, tier 0 and price out, great job Konami. The minimum they could do would be make the decks affordable. They are so creepy and arbitrary that they even want to force you to play fire into master duel to. It's like, we gonna decide what you gonna like or not. They are so dumb that theres a chance that in the next banlist they ban or limit shifter, just like they did with gamma on shifter format. Then in four-five months is gonna be Tear, Runick, Purrely, Spright, Dragon Link all over again, it's feels like yugioh TCG become a endless looping...
Ban shifter would be good either way. Removes one of the counters yes but it removes a card that has and would otherwise stay way longer than snake eyes
20:10 Josh - “how much room you have for non engine” …. Tenpai exists. I main lab (heavy trap build) rather than hand trap, and want to paper build but currently Big welcome, Arias and Daruma are big cost in tcg at least. So I’m building tenpai mainly bc this fire format is toxic af and realistically the only way to combat fire is heavy hand traps and with tenpai having maybe at most a 20 card engine this is accounting for the not yet released genroku as well as set rotation and terraforming
Best upcoming format prob just play shifter deck tbh....at least u have good chance to win if u draw ur shifter. Thats one reason why kash is getting more popular recently. Necrovalley maybe also nice going first option in side deck.
D. Fissure is an excellent tech for the format. All the snake eyes and fire king monsters only get their effect if they go to the graveyard. I personally think it hates on the deck enough to be used going 2nd against them.
I wouldn't recommend running Shaddolls just so Fusion can act as a board breaker since you'll need a fair bit of soft garnets and it doesn't do much going first. But if you're running a deck that would already benefit from the Shaddolls as a separate engine (maybe a Branded variant) then it doesn't sound bad necessarily.

Play against SE FK. Drop Gnomaterial on I:P summon so they can't make Princess or Amblo. Opponent malds.
Love it
As a hard second aficionado, and anti-meta enjoyer, I've been testing every possible non-engine for beating Snake-eyes and I have come to a lot of the same conclusions.
What do you think about the Shaddoll Fusion Board Breaker approach? Maybe for sidedecking?
A good sefk player just plays around shaddoll fusion using zealantis so only sometimes. And ash on shaddoll fusion really hurts
should we delta original or wanted?
Original since they play at 1 at the moment, the ocg are playing at least 2 of it right now
@@EleggGaming really thought that wanted was the best, but original makes sense as well, ty!
@@EleggGaming original is a 1 effect, not 1 activation per turn. And pure sometimes does play 2 original.
Im curious as to your thoughts on the shaddoll fusion combo
now.
Evenly matched x3 in Paleozoics, princess doesn't trigger on normal summon ie Lilith, ojama blue, wannabee... Just saying (Lava and Sphere are for Omni negates and evenly the rest) Raise to full heights, Dinomischus etc
Props for the Celeste music on this one.
Its really funny seeing you say "I dont see how the board breaker approach works." When last regionals I won the majority of my matches against fireking/snake-eyes with 0 hand traps going blind second lol
I'm def not saying its the best way to go but If I only played vs fireking I would be much happier with my going 2nd deck.
What about shaddoll fusion is that good. I would like a video for that card
Thoughts in lullaby of obidience. I mean its good for mirror against fire targeting ash, good for bait or +1 in your fire charmer
Super poly is good if you have the branded lost set up
Question: Might this be the format were Power Filter is good?
Deck lockdown
Thoughts on kash control this format? Obviously if you open shifter it's great but going 1st feels pretty solid too no? Unicorn and fenrir are both very impactful endboard pieces. Cutting players off of both combo and recursion.
Remind me of ishizu tears where we need to clear the graveyard.
Exosister and floo players when they happen to draw 2 shifter, 1 soul release and robina/martha be like: 🤑🤑🤑🤑
What about shaddoll fusion ? Would love to hear your opinion about it.
whats about silent graveyard isnt this a great choice against FK?
6:45 Fucho+Downerd+Zeus or Dharc summon Shifter make Selene hard draw a spellcaster or Wanted/Diabellstar summon it then make 2 mat Apollousa.
I came here to say fucho is probably the best shifter play. It doesn’t do much but it guarantees you don’t lose.
I just make a masked hero dark law and see if the fire decks have an out
almost half of their decks are staples
porco dio grazie joshua adessoesso delta costerà ancora di più dopo questo video grazie mille
The money in this video😂
Not me getting double soul released while on branded, lost al my follow up
Best hand traps and techs for labrynth? Belle ash and dd crow?
Silent Graveyard BEST CARD!
what do u think about the shaddol fusion package?
Considering on the type of deck you play, why not Silent Graveyard?
What about Gravekeepers inscription?
how does skull meister compare to crow and belle? considering it for a lvl4 deck
Would silent graveyard be an ok card to side against fire king?
What about Deck lockdown, and Soul Drain to stop Fire Kings?
Best upcoming format prob just play shifter deck tbh....at least u have good chance to win if u draw ur shifter. Thats one reason why kash is getting more popular recently.
Necrovalley maybe also nice going first option in side deck.
Yeah Kash seems like the best solution if you can't afford to play a fire deck yourself
D. Fissure is an excellent tech for the format. All the snake eyes and fire king monsters only get their effect if they go to the graveyard. I personally think it hates on the deck enough to be used going 2nd against them.
@@josephcourtright8071 indeed shifter decks def strong againts em. They can use dfissure also.
Floo and kash def pretty nice optiom this format.
Is shaddoll fusion sending shaddoll dragon and shaddoll Ariel and make el shaddoll apkalone an idea going second against fire King snake eye?
You stole that tech dude. Why are you asking him if you already know it breaks the board.
@@Egod03almost everyone steals Tech by your logic, shut up cringe
@@Egod03clown
It’s pretty good going 2nd
So what I heard was take a hiatus until this format is over lol
Triple/ Double Super poly, with yubel
@Joshua Schmidt great video! could you make a small change to your videos? im a new player so im not familiar with all the cards, and throughout the video you have these really quick popups on the center of the screen of cards you are referencing - but the problem is that they just disappear too quick, move too fast, and are too small for me to read. thanks
Gamma is the only ht against shifter if he goes 1st cuz we can’t use called by the grave😅so saaaaad
Looks like I’m maining floo this format lol. It’s been a while
Fire king snake eye is just stupid
Man 😭. That shit gotta get hit quick man. Nastiest deck I’ve seen in a long time
Hi Joshua, i have a small question, (i'm actually testing your version of Lab) since you said droll Is not so Good, with what card can i replace It? d.d. crow? Talents? Or maybe main nibiru and side droll?
Sorry for the long question
Join me in lab terrorism and maindeck shifter
Two words silent graveyard
15:50 couldn’t you also run Veidos as a hand trap against Fire Kings to blow up Island? Cyclone does have the benefit of being a spell and banishing, but Veidos is at least searchable
Fire King Sanctuary makes getting rid of Island via destruction very unreliable, otherwise it'd be a great card vs the deck yeah
You will need Evenly + Soul Release + Dweller + luck + new ban list
What do you think about dark hole dragon, fantazmay and veidos?
Edit: what about burning dragon also?
Each card is a plus 1 meaning you have 9 cards going into your turn after the fire king player passes
Some combo lines use sanctuary for the snake eye stuff suddenly turning veidos into a double board wipe if you time it correctly
He just wanted to flex the rarities on us😂
I have a weird question about interactions.
Say i have Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell, if they move a card into the spell/trap zone, would i be able to activate?
Cursed seal negates activation of a spell. They aren't activating a spell by placing so no
@@asdfjkl3944 damn
There is a solution, but it’s banned in the tcg. Besides Maxx C I think that Shaddoll Fusion could be good.
maxx c is a solution until your opponent has it too and on a deck that plays 12+ handtraps
Can someone explain to me how Nib is good this format, even alongside an Imperm? Where are you going Nib/Imperm to actually break their board?
Nibiru on 5th summon, they dont have a fire to tribute on your turn
@@kinofchaos9085 doesn’t the standard combo go
1. Summon Ash > search Populus
2. SS Populus
3. Link off Populus into Linguribo > chain Populus effect to place in S/T zone
4. Effect of Ash to send Populus in S/T zone and itself to SS Flamberg
5. Link off Flameberg and Linguribo into I:P > activate Flameberg to SS 2 lvl 1’s.
Is that when you Nib?
Not even an ulti ghost ogre. What are we paying this man for?
Good tips
Mathmech circular is a good tech card I hear. If only someone didn’t cause it to get banned
Vs evenly you can go summon ip make sp summon ash oak add back 2 then when they evenly you sp your oak and sp. danger is they fake bp but do you care that much esp with kirin in hand
