well looks like space going work out fine, that structure did look annoying obstacle at first but you created good little office space and storage corner plus if that platform strong enough you got mezzanine storage area .
I could see a bench on wheels being handy in that area in front of lift, be nice spacious in front of lift for engine swaps or top end head off jobs plus good spot dump a vehicle waiting for parts or poking around diagnosing work .
Keeping cost minimal is one way keep in business bit easier and expensive rent sucks you down in hard times .
One thing I been slowly doing over last 3 years is stocking more common job parts like bushes, bolts, sensors, bearings, oil air fuel filters, gasket sets, water pumps for car/jobs I see a lot of in small bulk of brands I like quality of at cheapest prices I can hustle .
Beside pulling bit more profit over just using local parts stores I benefit from less delays and less dud part or junky/poor fit part out the box issues of lot of off shelf local store garbage brand and sometimes can help pull the job as can do fast turnaround and maybe quote part better price if want beat a price to get a job but you still making good markup .
Colors worked well, flows with the black boxes and lift, kind of think a woman might of been involved on decor input :-)
Some banners, signage around top steels of that structure might look the part .
Have fun getting floor dirty and testing out you recent tool upgrades.
Hope Dez well & looking forward to the daily wrenching ... Best wishes for the new shop ...
