Chris Tourbook: Episode 13! (In Mexico with Therion Part 1)

So the tourbook is back and here is the first episode of 2024!
This one I split in 2 parts because it's a big one. Going to Mexico to do the biggest show in my career so far. A arena show with Therion and a symphonic orchestra in Mexico City. This the travel there and preparations!
This is pretty much a vlog of my life as a musician, doom, audio tech and metal head, there will be a lot of different things going on!

We were staying so close to each other in Mexico City lol (me and my friend were located in Hipódromo Condesa).
Then in the concert we were sitting in front of you Chris at 4 meters distance (B row).

The first statue is Cuitláhuac, a Tlatoani (Aztec governor) brother of Moctezuma, who took up arms against the Spanish freeing Tenochtitlan from them.
The second one is the "independence angel", a monument to celebrate the Mexican independence and some of the independence heroes rest buried beneath.

Did some searching about the first statue... if anyone is interested in it 😅😅
Cuitláhuac was an Axtec ruler in 1520. He only ruled for about 4 months and died of smallpox.
He also married a 10-11year old girl ofcourse.
But saw the pictures of the show you did on saturday and wow!!!
So many people!! On the stage and before the stage! I can only imagine how majepic this must have been for you!!
