I would argue that the best OVERALL in the micro 4/3 world nowadays is E-M5 III. It has the same IQ as the rest 20MP ones, has better AF for both photos and video than any Lumix model and most importantly - has the size a micro 4/3 camera should be. The G9 is fine, especially at it's current price, but at 660g its heavier than a full frame Sony 7III! The E-M1 III has some extra features and proper grip, but is too expensive. I would rather go for the 5 with it's optional grip if it feels too small. Al in all, the little M5 III, especially with the small 1.8 primes, is the epitome of the whole system - pro level quality from a compact, light package.
Momchil Yordanov Hey man I think if you’re focused on Photos that’s one of the ways to go as well. In the video I was just trying to crowned at the camera with the most features in the system including things that other Kamran can provide at all. If you’re looking at the G9 versus the Em5iii, I think the G9 very handling beats it and video features it’s not even close so in that regard I couldn’t crowned the EM five for any of my categories because it didn’t have all the features of eM1x, But for the best overall camera it couldn’t match the G9 which is almost as good as the gh5 In terms of video features But I completely see your point and I agree if you’re only looking at photos and you don’t need the extra features of the em1x, it’s a good choice

what lens do you use for autofocus in video? Native lenses? Since I also have the viltrox sigma combo but don‘t remember that working while video 2. question: When will you continue making videos? they so good :)
That’s a camera I had to think about for a while! It costs a chunk more than the G9, and while it might have better continuous auto focusing, the video features on the camera just don’t match what lumix offers in terms of the quality of video ie bit rates, bit depth, video scopes etc.. so as a hybrid camera it isn’t as good as the G9. As the best photo camera it actually stacks up ok against the em1x and with a slightly more advanced processor, however Olympus left out their intelligent subject detection which is superrrrr useful and the way things should be moving forward! So while it’s a good photo camera, for 1,600 body only (launched at 1,800), you can save cash on a G9 with almost the same features, or pay for the em1x for the best/most photo features for the system. As a smaller alternative for a professional body, it totally works for the em1iii though! Just note that you’re paying more for not much more value added than more affordable options
@@KimCruz1 The E-M1 III is a better camera if stills is your thing, the C-AF is awesome! The E-M10 III competition is in fact the GX80, not the GX9. The GX80 is usually lower in price, also a 16 megapixel sensor, worth a look. The GX9 is a step up with a 20 megapixel sensor so it should be a little more expensive.
I bought still G85 this year but I struggle with Autofocus when filming how to videos do You have a good recommendation how to make that focus better? without rerecord the take few times?
Yeah man that's one of the pitfalls of this system but for me I just flip it into manual focus- if I use a small aperture it's not a problem but if I use a big aperture I have to keep the same distance to the subject... if I'm using a manual focus lens then I rack focus manually
So what You are saying if you want to open wide bokeh focus you only then have the problem? are you using single points or 49 area with small aperture to focus? I have tried so many ways always struggling but still like the camera do. I also use Panasonic HH025 LUMIX G Lens, 25mm, F1.7 ASPH I like the lens but it makes it even harder to focus find the kit lens focuses slightly better.
Scuba Travel and Adventure no man I literally only use manual focus for all my videos. If I need to be in front of the camera I just use the Panasonic app, but if I'm behind the camera I just pull focus.. it's hard to get at first but eventually you just get used to it. To help me get initial focus I put the camera in manual focus, then I drag the focus square to my subject- the camera automatically focuses for me and if I need to make adjustments while recording I just use the focus ring on the lens...
I'm looking to upgrade from my fz330 to something that can take sharper photos of wildlife. The pics at 600mm are quite poor when blown up. So I was thinking a m43 with 300mm lens would be decent. It offers more zoom than a full frame right? I'm not up on m43 but is there a down side? Lens prices maybe? I thought about an A6000 but 300mm on a full frame just wouldn't get me close enough most of the time. Any advice for a noob would be welcome.

I always tell people just to get the camera that's in their budget and feels the best in their hands. I find it interesting that Fuji has done so well. Daniel W. Hey man my bad I just fixed it! Missing ‘for photos’
I bought the Lumix G9 body just before lock down in March £999.95 with free battery grip. Spare battery and 25mm lumix lens normal cost £500 pretty ridiculous price for that lot in my opinion
Super lucky on your part man before the lockout and with a free grip? To this day I still haven’t bought a Panasonic grip haha! I feel like when you pay more for a grip than a decent lens there’s something wrong lol
@@KimCruz1 thanks for the reply mate. To be honest on my morning shoots before work the battery grip stays at home only use I would have for it was for wedding shoots where it looks the business but I had all four cancelled due to the virus
Jonathan Smith very sorry to hear about that man yeah the virus sucks it’s really affecting the way of life! Really hope a vaccine is developed soon
In my opinion the older Panasonic GX85 is a much better deal than the OM-D M10 MIII...
Hey man thanks for that and actually you might be right about that- it certainly leads in video quality still! I was trying to restrict the options to newer cameras as much as possible but I think it can go either way
Gteat info thanks
Thanks man glad you found it useful!
em10 mark iii is the last generation for olympus
Logic Mr. yeah let's see... it's not looking too good!
The OMD EM-10 Mk II is a much better camera with its metal construction, pro features and low price.
In general Olympus build quality is excellent! Not sure about their new direction in making their non pro cameras plastic though but the em10ii is still great used!
a brand new gh4 for $680
It's crazy how cheap they are now! Def still worth a look these days
