Had chickens (or chooks as we call them down under) when I was growing up. They aren't appreciated as they should be. Different personalities. Shame about factory farms. Thanks.

I let my chicks out about the same chicks you did and one of my younger chickens who turned out to be a rooster attack my chick and put her eye out , that about killed me... poor thing ended up dying.

@cindywolf2259 they are vicious little creatures. We’ve had similar issues. Every time I let a chicken sit on eggs and hatch babies 90% of them are roosters. They ganged up on one poor chick and killed her. She was pretty too. 😢I quit hatching my own chicks. 🐣
