Mac Jones-Bailey Zappe QB controversy on display vs. Chicago Bears | Pro Football Talk | NFL on NBC
/ nflonnbc - Спорт
If mumbling random answers that make no sense makes you a genius at the podium, hire me as a football coach
Two defensive coaches putting their heads together to call offensive plays, ruining a young QB. That's what we should be talking about.
😂👍🏿
I totally agree but that’s on billechek for not hiring a OC since McDaniel left to the raiders
Y'all making all these excuses for Mac Jones tua had worst problems than this under Flores yet these 2 clowns bash him along with the media
Yup
The offensive play-calling and strategy has been fine. I don't have an issue with Patricia. Judge, on the other hand, should not be coaching the QBs.
They look like brothers Zappe and Jones
HC Bill Belichick without Brady = HC Patricia, HC Judge, HC McDaniels.
This team has very good players being wasted by an average and outdated head coach.
I feel they should have just started Zappe from the start and made Mac the emergency back up. This was Mac's first game back and while Zappe hadn't beaten tough teams, in my opinion he would have given them the best chance to win, especially since I'm assuming Zappe didn't get the majority of the first team reps. Mac probably pushed to play which is understandable, but he also hadn't been playing well prior to his injury and he's still coming off of said injury/rusty. I also feel the bigger picture is that they felt either quarterback should be able to pull off a win...considering it was the Bears and they've looked quite frankly horrible most of the year offensively playing against supposedly a top tier defense in their home stadium....but then the Bears decided to put together by far their best complete game of the season and they needed to actually make plays on offense to win the game
What really surprised me was how bad the Patriots defense played!
Right?! I'm like why aren't people talking about this...
@@TheeRomantic they were put in bad spots with the turnovers
The defense was a joke. They couldn't even pull off what supposedly Belichick always preaches; fundamentals and setting the edge. They had a team in CHI that was last in passing for a reason, so play the run, 1st, 2nd and 3rd downs
R. Kraft has to be pulling his hair out. Belichick drafts 2 average armed slow footed QB's.
In New England it's very windy, rainy, and snowy. Why would you not draft a strong armed QB?
Truth is it was all Brady, not Bill.
@Wayne F. blah blah blah. Where’s the defense now? Where’s the “ genius” defense now? Bill haven’t done jack without Brady. That’s a dang fact
Even Bill would say the players are more important than the coaches.
Brady was also part of the defense. Time of possession on offense is defense. Brady orchestrated long drives so the defense had the best shot at doing it's job.
The hate for Mac is crazy, Zappe was awful yesterday. The guy barely hit the Jacobi Meyers for that long TD. Let’s stop this. Mac is a legit starter in the leauge. Sappy is a good backup.
2 TD's- 6 Int's that,s not starter numbers
@@stephanea5364 he’s not been good this season for sure, but don’t you think Mac is simply the superior player?
If Mac played the entire game the final score is worse!
I’d like to see Mac actually earn his job back
@@ReallyGotMotion no zappe has a better arm than Mack, Mack has just had more experience and was a 1st rounder zappe with more time can be a top 10 qb while Mack’s night will be a mid tier qb
As a patriots fan for 24 years bill billichece has really dropped the ball these past few years.... maybe it's time for a change.....Kraft can't be happy...
Can’t stand this guys press conferences like dude fans want to know stuff
Those press conferences are hilarious
Without Tom Brady a lot is going wrong for belichick
Lol on the patriots made it a stupid controversy
It didn't matter, the defense lost that game. Why was there never a spy on Fields, especially on the 3rd and longs????
Lol forreal, everybody talking about the QB controversy when the defense gave up 33 points to the Bears and the Patriots rushed 14 times for 47 yards against the worst run D in the league...
That was driving me crazy
Didn’t mention one lick about the Bears beating the pats freaking woosies
The defense let everybody down, Fields had a field day breaking down that defense. This team has a rep of winning games with a defense and ball control, but as a Cowboy fan I remember Landry going with Stauback and Morton even alternating them on plays it didn't work then It won't work now.
Maybe on some third downs but turnovers doesn't help that defense
Trade Mac Jones to Detroit Lions
Zappe got Zappe'd
I understand bashing Zappe a bit for not playing that well, but you have to recognize he was put in a bad situation too. He did NOT get the reps in practice this week to put him in a good position to play 3 QUARTERS of the game. Belichick dealt both Mac and Zappe a pretty shitty hand. Purposely playing two quarterbacks in one game is a laughable decision in any level of football PERIOD. That is if you want to give your team their best chance to WIN.
He did the right think pulling Jones tho. Mac ain’t back. He should sit him another 1-3 games.
@@newagain9964 no, sit him on a plane to somewhere for a good saftey and or lb
Zappe got most of the reps on Thursday and Friday while Jones was limited, so let's not pretend the Patriots didn't do anything to prepare him. While I didn't think Zappe would have won the game even if he started, the Patriots should have started him since momentum is a thing in football. You always ride with the hot hands. They can go back to Mac Jones once Zappe lose the game just like what the Cowboys did with Cooper Rush and Dak Prescott.
@@x3dgame123 Agree with this. Better to let Mac heal up a little more and also be able to practice a full week. You also can ride the momentum and after this game which still will have been a blow out and a bad game for Zappe it would have bene easier to give Mac the start the following week and keep his confidence and not create chaos. What Bill did was dumb all around and stupid> He may have ended Jones tenure here with NE and fans should see Zappe isnt it so now you have no QB. Way to go. Bill it just seems like he is getting really bad i think they have to fire him as both coach and gm cuz it aint working.
Zappe can't see over the o line and his 3/4 throwing motion makes it hard for him to get the ball over the line without a throwing lane. Without play action and trickery, zappe is exposed, the bears sat on the out route. This is basically the third game and zappe's ceiling is shown.
Zappe is physically limited, he's short, his arm sucks, without play action he's not viable.
Belicheck is checked out.
And now we know where Brian Flores got this crazy idea on how to treat young quarter backs. Straight from the master on how to kill a young developing QB's, Bill Belecheat. Good luck New England fans.
At least Brian Flores did it for a veteran who balled out and won them the game. Last night it was for a guy with less experience who completely imploded.
@@jamessanders145 I agree with you 100% . A utter disaster for NE fans. It still doesnt make it right if you want to develop a young QB. And by the way, Flores did it several times and only won one game with Fitz in that manner.
Well said couldn’t agree more
“An evil super genius” who can’t accomplish shit without Brady 😂
This guys dad has two rings bc of Belichick he needs to show him more respect 😂
Did you watch the defense last night?
I'd have sat Mac Jones for that cleat move. Guy is a dirty player.
Don't be stupid....
I'd just ask for a trade. You want zappie you can have him.
Was it Brady or Bellicheat I think we are seeing the answer.
Brady is having a great year
I honestly wonder if Bill just wanted to humiliate Mac by letting him play till he messed up then yank him out to put in Zappe. It seemed personal.
You can tell where Brian Flores got it from 😂🤣😆☠️
GJ - Based on what specifically? I can't stand BB or the Patriots but what basis does your opinion come from. Why the hell would the coach do that?
@@jdm1039 I have no idea. I know he benches players in SB when they could help team win. Guy has an ego issue perhaps? Is butt hurt about something? I don’t know.
@@gj5990 I appreciate that you answered my question but basically you have no proof or information to support your allegations. Again I hate the guy but regardless of that I can't stand these completely baseless accusations. And yes BB does have a big ego but not sure what it has to do with this.
@@jdm1039 I just said “I wonder if” - I didn’t say this was fact. It seemed to me to be something other than game related because even other players were confused as to why he pulled him out so quickly. I’ve only heard from others - “why would he do that? Inconsistent feedback from several connected to Patriots doesn’t help either. But overall, BB does things that don’t help the team, but usually are to send a message to a player- like benching best player during SB.
Bellicheck NEEDS to step down. He's a future HOF coach. Even Captain Kirk knew when to give the Captain's chair up to someone else
Hoody just crushed Mac's soul. Zappe is not the answer. Hoody EGO will kill this team.
Exactly. Hoody EGO haven’t done anything without Tom. I’m not a pats fan but to treat Mac like this is bad.
Man, Florio is good and stirring up shit.
i immediately thought of the malcolm bulter situation when mac jones got benched i wonder what this all means
If you have 2 QBs you have none.
Belichick is in panic mode he doesn't know what to do. I'm a life long pats fan
Only you think it's just started. I have chronicled years of this dystopian coaching. He is the best but can win or not, he has won enough and is entitled to do whatever he thinks, sane or insane. Look, I'm going to keep it short.
Look at these comparable passing stats. why mess around. they are both great young QB, but one is clearly better and seems to show each time on the field. I love Mac, and this experiment with the coaching and changing offenses, clearly have affected Mac. Bailey is the clear best choice, but these games Bill plays are necessary...for him. This is a table I made from the Patriots team page.
NE Patriots Top Passers
Player Comp YDS COMP% YDS/ATT TD INT INT% Rate
Mac Jones 67 799 65 7.8 2 6 5.8 70.8
Bailey Zappe 65 781 70.6 8.5 5 3 3.3 100.9
Belicheck just grasping for straws .......Jones has not lived up to expectations.
Sims is at least 2sheets to the wind in this one.
Zappe did not come in and save the day. A few good plays but that's it.
He played a legit defense last night, unlike the "tomato cans" of the Browns and Lions.
He showed hes better than mac thats all that matters
@@cityofthechamps6242 Jones won a National Championship at Alabama and led the Pats to the playoffs last year. What has Zappe done?
@@grocerygoat06 Some Pats fan are having Brady withdrawal and are clinging to any QB who completes a pass at this point as the next goat. Last year they loved Mac and said he was steal of the draft and very Brady esque. Now its short, no arm, inaccurate Zappe whos completions were mostly passes within 5 yards and the WR's had to make great catches on his inaccurate and/or under thrown passes. Not to mention the teams he played are not exactly noteworthy. Plus he had another throw that should have been pick #3 in the game. Last but not least Jones was 3-6 on 3 drives. the 1st drive they ran three times then punted that has nothing to do with Mac. Mac also had 2 passes dropped including a big pass down the sideline. He should have been 5-6 and the one throw down the sideline would have had them in the redzone. The Int he threw that was a bad throw no doubt.
@@pauliej345 Good points all around. I agree.
whenever Mac is not in the game, all the other players should be saying: "Where's Poochie... I mean Mac?"
Was there another team out there?
Bill is becoming 1980s Tom Landry. He was once the best coach in football but the game passed him by. Robert Kraft needs to start looking for his Jimmy Johnson.
He's in Tennessee go get him!
All you have to know is Jones took 100% of the snaps in the practice leading up to the game. So, regardless of what Darth Vader is telling someone at halftime, Jones was YANKED for the same bad lethargic play that he had put on film before he was hurt...
People really believe mac jones should be starting even tho he had played bad even with starting rep 😒 what gets me is people are shitting on zappe already while excusing macs performance
Jones is afraid to throw the ball downfield.
@@ultimatecharisma2822 I don't care what QB you have in. The sh..y situation bill has put the offense in by using 2 dc's that's never ran an offense. Not replacing Josh with a legit oc. Changing offensive schemes. Knew early it's a bad situation on offense. Playing against Miami and Ravens is a little different than Detroit and Browns.
jesus this comment hits ive been saying the same
Zappe took the reps on thurs and friday while Jones was limited so idk where you cam eup with this. lol
BB screwed up by not replacing McD with a REAL OC. It was a stupid move and has been proven out by the play of the PATS this year. it is not a QB problem...it is a coach's problem.. BB is over the hill in my not so humble opinion.
Life long Patriots fan who is reaching the end of the rope on Bill's tenure with the Pats. He has become a real jerk insisting that his kid will make a good coach and the travesty of no offensive coach is beyond belief. Bill has been chasing Tom Brady's ghost for many years yet he refuses to accept reality that the modern era of football has left him behind. Kraft needs to clean house and put things back in order.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. The Hoodie's arrogance has hurt the Patriots on the field for several years now.
"I don't foresee anything going wrong with two defensive-minded coaches guiding and developing our 1st-round-pick QB, because I'm one of them. Did I mention that I overruled my scouts in R1 in 2019 (who wanted me to draft Deebo Samuel, A.J. Brown or D.K. Metcalf) in favor of a guy whose college coach I'm buddy-buddy with but who couldn't separate from Pac-12 defensive backs."
Not exactly the best way to handle 2 young guys trying to claim their stake in the league. But hey, what do I know.
Dude, Bellichich’s cultural background is Croatian, not Italian…
Agree, with all the caps/picks the bears have. As long as the head coach, GM and Justin Fields perform to top 10 standard of the NFL. The bears gonna get a good dominating 5 to 7 years run in the NFC north. The other team that gonna compete with them is Lions. They got a pretty good OL. Vikings and Packer gonna have to rebuild in the next two to three years.
Put down the pipe.
I legit can't tell them apart from the pictures on screen (Zappe & Jones), straight up doppelganger; who is who!!
I don’t see this as a controversy. Bill is playing the better QB, but rather than completely bench Mac Jones he’s letting them compete for the job.
Some great points, Chris and Mike. I've watched football my whole life and I still have problems understanding it.
Can you guys do a segment on the QB situation for the Steelers? I think Mitch gives them the best chance of winning right now, so why isn't he our there?
Who gives a fuck about the steelers? both mitch and pickett suck.
There's no upside there. Yeah Mitch would probably play more mistake free as the starter again but there's very little upside left in him, the team has a ton of other problems so at this point you might as well let the rookie play and take his lumps and see if he can put anything together by the end of the season or not.
Because Pitt drafted a QB 1st rd
The job was for Mitch to lose and after he didn't give them much of a spark they decided to put in the rook who they're betting will be their future.
@@twelvepandacubs the Millions of Steeler fans!! At least they can put a sentence together. lol
@@Canadian_Skeptical Ha! Good one. Next time try to take less than 6 days to respond. If you even could.
I mean, Bailey zappe came in and played better in the first half than Mac Jones did, period. Zappe looks better in this offense.
Jones went 3 and out twice then threw a pick, wtf would you expect?
Zappe had a chance to win the game after taking the lead and didn’t do shit 🤷🏾♂️ he not it either
Yeah Zappe threw 2 picks that game and had a 3rd one dropped. Score should have been 40 for bears but idk how the CB ran out of gas on what was an easy pick 6. Zappe also has no Arm strength and had accuracy issues all game. His two biggest throws were a 50/50 ball into double coverage and a wide open wr that he threw off target and under threw as well. the wr had to make a great catch and barely roll into endzone which should have been a gimme. He also threw nothing but passes 5 yards or less and had a few other completions that were great catches by the WR because he threw the ball late and behind the wr. Even his second pick was behind the WR and right to the CB. He aint it probably more so than Mac. But if Mac does turn it around and play well im sure first chance he gets hes leaving Pats so its a lose-lose no matter what happens. Best hope is you can draft a QB again next year but then you have Matt Patricia and Joe Judge to teach him the ropes on a team with no wr, and a suspect oline and no defense. lmao
Kraft is about to send coach B to pasture…like an old horse, Chris, horse. 😉
Anyone with eyes can see Zappe is playing better right now. Jones is only in his 2nd year, he’s not an established veteran who owns the job without question. Bill is playing the better QB.
Listen, big Mac Jones fan here..But I mean c'mon...He basically did nothing and then threw a stupid pick and then got pulled..
I don't understand why everyone is up in arms?? Even Lombardi came out last week and said Bill is gonna bench him if he keeps throwing picks..There's not much else to say.
Bailey Zappe is not on Jones's level...The reason they brought him back now is the Bears were the lesser opponent as opposed to the NYJ or the Bills...Just common sense here people..
Your flopping around the comment, my thoughts where this is being engineered. bailey comes out and bangs 2 TDs. then, what happened to the offense? Zappe doesn't call plays, and those plays put him in harm's way. The calls when he threw INTs, he was too close to the line, tall defenders disturb the path of the ball and its INT'd. Manufactured? I am not happy with this mad scientist OC experiment Bill has going.
Does anybody, you know ever do such a thing. WTF is he doing? He has 2 of the absolute best pure QB to come out since when? And he's running both of them. If I was a psychoanalyst I take it back to the negativity of the relationship between him and Brady, and he is now unconsciously taking revenge on these 2 because they are there, and he can. what's the theme today? Weird, yeah real weird. But real.
bill belicheck leaving a 2nd year quarterback without an offensive coordinator
What is that? Why would he do that? And give him two bozos? Ain't right.

I was so looking forward to this season, but when Belichick made his announcement I about lost my mind.
I have known NFL football for a long time, I don't know of a HC that ever went into a season without an OC!
I rack my brain to understand what is this? What is the motivation? Nothing that makes any sense comes to mind. So, I am forced, like the team and everybody else, to accept what is happening, and what is happening is losing, and it has been done on purpose, that is how I see it. Bill is deeply introspective, and will not provide the thoughts of his "genius" so he does this, I know it is wrong, it violates the universal principles of pro football, but this is bill the best there is doing this, doing this non-traditional stunt, and for what? We may never know. I didn't find out until this season why Butler didn't play in the Super Bowl. I go where the team goes, and we are tanking the season that is what it is. Unfortunately the experiment isn't over.
oh was belechick smiling internally when zappe hit for two touchdowns as he was now a genious and pleased the fan's chant! but know, he's in a QB pickle...
Then the rest of the 2nd quarter and the whole second half happened and he released he had a inaccurate weak arm QB who put up no points because he didnt have WRs make great play on poor passes like the first 2 drives. Belicheck then realized hes not a genius because he left the GOAT leave to win a super bow and throw for 40tds twice, drafted 2 bums at QB not counting all the others when Brady was with the team, and has no talent on his current team and again has no QB. And even if Mac does turn out to be good he prob will leave Pats first chance he gets now. LMAO #Genius
no coaching at all..
didn't matter who was qb, coaches were proving a point.
whatever that may be.
Mac is a very average QB and you're not going to win a championship with him because he's not fantastic at anything. Saying that though...Zappe is no where near Mac's level. Bizzare to create a controversy for no reason.
TY atleast someone can see the truth all around. I think Mac is avg but still far superior to Zappe. Idk why it seems like Pat fans have Brady withdrawl and every QB now who completes a pass is "The Next Brady" they did it with Stidham although that was very short, they said can yo umagine this team with Cam NEwton, then last year with Mac how he was steal of the draft and very Brady esque, Now with Zappe. Like jesus guys nobodys Brady and your team is not what it was and your not the smartest team in the league your in the same shit show everyone else is without a QB and cant draft
@@pauliej345 yeah the sooner they realise they'll never have another Brady the better. Look at the teams who have been in QB limbo for decades. The Pats are going to be average for years and the fan base can't take it.
As someone who slid hundreds, and maybe thousands of times over a long amateur baseball career (and I wore a cup in every game after t-ball, even when I played outfield; maybe football players are too dumb or proud to protect their important parts, but they wear helmets, right?), I will say that Jones pulling his foot up and back as he slid was not necessarily malicious. When a person is running at full speed and they lean back to begin a slide, they bend one leg and stretch out the other, and that leading leg has to be lifted into the air as the slide progresses, otherwise, their spikes are going to catch in the ground, and abruptly--and dangerously--bring them to a stop. So as a person slides, all the muscles from their hip down to their knee on the extended leg are pulling hard to keep that leg and foot off the ground. In the heat off the moment, it's natural to continue that gross muscle contraction down the length of the outstretched leg to the shin muscles, which pull the foot back and cause the toes to stick up. And in that position it's much easier to hold the leg high up in the air than it is to hold it parallel with the ground. Baseball players learn to slide with their toes pointed and extended legs as low to the ground as possible to maximize their stretch toward the bag and make themselves more difficult to tag out, but that kind of slide a specific technique that has to be learned, and it works a lot better on brick dust than on grass. Watch videos of outfielders sliding on their asses to make a catch and you'll see that they usually have one leg up in the air, and the foot on that leg is usually pulled back so that their heel is forward, just like Jones' was, because in that type of slide they're not concerned with staying low or stretching toward a bag. In other words, Jones slid exactly like you'd expect someone to slide on turf when they were trying to get down as fast as possible and keep their lead foot from planting in the ground as they slid. Again, I don't know for sure that Jones didn't mean to kick the defender in the balls, but there was nothing about his sliding technique which was unnatural or malicious, as was suggested. All that being said, Jones didn't do anything to try to avoid the contact, and I have to think football coaches tell their qbs to go in spikes high when they slide, in part to make sure their cleats don't catch and shred a knee or ankle, but also as a technique to make overly aggressive defenders think twice about flopping on top of them.
Character has never been Belichick’s strong suit. Bill basically put his chips all in and Fields had a Royal Flush!
Yes Mac is dirty and that's why Twitter reacted with hilarity when he got hurt in the Ravens game
Gotta start blaming judge and Patricia now. Horrible track records especially judge and his former qb Daniel jones, who daboll now has playing better football.
They threw a bears player out late in the gsme for a block,
They should have tossed the QB for that. If it was a defender he’d have been gone
Florio stays making things seem way more dramatic than they really are lol
he is a lawyer!
Saying Zappe looked like a fish flopping around the bottom of a boat is SUCH BULLSHIT. He played fine, he had no 1st reps in practice this week.
He took reps Thurs and Friday while Mac was limited lmao not to mention all the 1st team reps he had the past several week and live game action. Cmon dude!
Mike Florio talks to much. He should let Chris speak as he actually knows what he's talking about.
These analyst gotta start realizing they can't compare this Post Brady era Patriots to when he was there, so all that ''this is un-Patriot like“ “we don't expect this from the Patriots“ talk has to stop
It was always BRADY
Bill Belichick is at fault 100% and he has made a mess of this situation. Let Mac get back to 100% and put him back in there until he figures this offense out. He's had to shovel s**t against the wind since the off season.
Now you know where Brian Flores got it from when he yank Tua in Miami his mentor Belichick 😂🤣😆☠️
Pats defense was horrendous. Aaron Rodgers or Brady would not have won last night.
Justin Fields outclassed the entire Patriots coaching staff and those manufacturered backup quarterbacks, both are mediocre!!!🤣🤣😎😎😆😆😂😂😎🤣🤣😃😃😎😎😆
It was okay for Tua to get pulled but not Mac Jones. Now you can leave Tua alone and concentrate on Mac Jones getting pulled like Flores pulled Tua. Ha ha 😂
belechick needed to win to take over papa halas winning record so when mack threw the int, he needed to pull out all weapons..
Face it guys it’s all fixed
We al knew that Jones has a ceiling. He hasn't played well all season including the preseason. He gets hurt, Zappe comes in and team looked better. Last night Jones starts 2 three and outs and an interception. Pats are down 10-0. Zappe comes in TD. In fact he got them the lead at some point. Zappe also has a ceiling if your in front it all good but if you fall behind he is not the guy. But the hard truth is neither Jones. The teams in the AFC east are better than last year. Wins are going to be hard to come by. The youth experiment might over this year. I see a landing spot for Matt Ryan or another vet starter. Why? Belichick o-lines are usually good.
It was funny when Tua was getting pulled. Remember Flores didn't like Tua. So Mac Jones is bad right.
that team is a dumpster fire
NO CUP....AIM💥
Why is everyone talking about the offense where the DEFENSE got rolled over by a bad Bears team!
Belichick's press conference shtick is getting old.
He must be a real treat to deal with as a player. I feel sorry for them having to tip-toe around angry Dad every day.
Retire already and go spend more time being miserable with your family.
He's not a genius, Tom Brady was the genius for that organization.
Belichick is still the master of saying absolutely nothing while using words. I find it entertaining. Lucky for me I am not the media.
belichick lied
he has a history of it
it sucks
he cost them that eagles super bowl with that stupid butler move i dont care what anyone says.
Stop maming excuses for these quarterbacks! They need to grow up and COMPETE
Belichick knows Mac is average at best and they’re aren’t winning anything around him. So he’s shopping ideas. Can’t imagine Belichick coaches much longer in NE unless they somehow snatch Lamar Jackson in the off-season.
BILL B Best Coach Ever He is the Patriots way Period.
Lol 😂 he ain’t no HOAT. Tom Brady made him look good. Look at him now without Tom. He’s nothing but an below average coach
Those Patriot players better watch what they say in the locker room and at the facility. There's no doubt in my mind Bill is listening!! AND he's NOT wise enough to eavesdrop without taking shit personal!
Mac Jones has not looked good this season
Well he went from Josh McCdaniels calling plays to a special team coach and a defensive coordinator calling plays. He isn't exactly set up for success. Couple that with him having to squeeze balls to receivers would be 2nd or 3rd string guys on any other team.
@@randomhero8662 Dont forget a suspect Oline as well. and didnt have the luxury of playing against the Packer who have no D or Offense, the Lions who give up more than 30pts per game, and a Browns team thats very avg at best with no Myles Garrett.
unpatriotic indeed
It’s clear they don’t have a QB. They are getting embarrassed and we(buffalo) was in misery for 20 plus years, I say boo hooo, love to see it lol. Go Bills!!!
I heard Bill is really eyeing the Tampa job so he can rejoin Tom. Just kidding
Bill's playing 4d chess He don't want anyone feeling comfortable. Especially his young players.
He was playing checkers last night
Yea I’m sure making your 2nd year QB uncomfortable, while listening to play calling by two fired coaches in Joe Judge and Mike Patrica will work out.
Yeah hes playing against himself
Alot of y'all that's in your feelings about Mac Jones gone see in the long haul HE IS ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE WATCH AND SEE .....I wanna see ZAPPE the hell with trash Jones
Bill is only consider the GOAT is because he had Brady. Haven’t done anything without Tom.
This isn't rocket science. The reason why a quarterback puts his foot up when he's sliding is so he doesn't take an unnecessary hit. He does it to protect himself it's not dirty.
The throw to the RB was a quick read by Zappe. I think Mac Jones would have hesitated to throw it. There's not much of gap between these two quarterbacks.
Quick read or designed play. Its a pitchout to the RB on a wheel route. Looked very designed to me. Also there was a lot of inaccurate throws by Zappe on like half his throw's or more. If it wasnt for great catches by his WR's they would have no points and a few completions less. Not to mention he threw 2 picks and should have throw a 3rd that the defender dropped. Zappe also has one of the weakest arms in football. Minshew has just as bad an arm but has played alot better on a worse team and for longer and the NFL viewed him as a backup. Nuff said.
belechick wanted mack to have surgery on his high ankle sprain and mack didnt go for that..
10:00 BINGO! Its an old man asserting his dominance over his young QBs. Bill wants that Saban power, he has to be the REASON they win!
