- Pico do Corcovado is one of the most notable natural attractions in Ubatuba and the surrounding region. Aldeia Renascer Ywyty Guaçu was founded on September 22, 1999 by five Tupi Guarani and Guarani indigenous families. The occupation was commanded by chief Antonio da Silva Awá and his objective was to regain the traditional space belonging to his ancestors.
Located at the foot of Pico do Corcovado, the Renascer village is more than a tourist attraction, it is considered one of the links in the formation process of our people, since the Indians were the first residents of our country and that on our coast events with international repercussions, such as the Confederation of Tamoios and the Peace of Iperoig. With Tupi and Guarani roots, the village has 15 families in a total of 90 people spread over 2,500 hectares of beautiful landscapes and crystal clear rivers. In 1999, the place where Aldeia Renascer is located today, was used as a scenic-cinematographic space and was the stage for the epic film "There comes our food jumping", which portrays the adventure story of Hans Staden when recording the life of the Indians of Brazil.
