Watching people riding motorbikes with no helmet and a surgical mask that doesn't filter out the pollution made me laugh when I lived in Chiang Mai. That was before COVID too.
G'day Ryan, l was trained to wear masks in fire fighting for years. Only p3/pn95 masks can stop small particles/aerosol but must be sealed completely. And you have to change it every 20 minutes because the moisture/bacteria builds up and becomes detrimental to your health causing lung and respiratory infections.
I enjoy your videos Ryan! Keep up the good work👍 I remember seeing lots of people wearing masks pre-covid in busy places like Bangkok and Chiang Mai and I was told it was because of the poor air quality. At that point I had never seen anyobody wearing masks on the street in the UK .
I live in Chiang Mai and see people wearing masks and see lots of people who don't. Really, don't think about. I'm a big fan of minding my own business. If someone wants to wear one, they have their own reasons, and it's of no concern to me.
Hi Ryan, i enjoy your videos, especially the effort and love you have for your family. Looking forward to seeing you back with your family. Regards Baz
I enquired before to set up a company but seems very expensive, in particular every month to pay thai employee taxes and every month 3-4000 baht for accounting to put on top..do other farang youtube have a company? not sure they do
To be honest, I never liked Thailand. Too many tourists and too much sex tourism. But your vlog has modified my attitude, and I can see the positives now.
Just need to take a few steps out of the tourist areas. There is a plethora of Thai tourist locations where you would be hard pressed to see a white guy.
She is probably right, I lost both my first two business’s Though two things have proven profitable Investing in gold and an online business Pretty low risk high reward
I watched you as you went back to corporate. You looked miserable. I feel you have made the best choices for your family. You seem happier. Your life is enviable. Thank you for sharing
when i went to thailand for a month in may, i didn't really see every 711 employee wearing masks, in udom suk, asok, none of them wore masks. but my gf has been wearing masks for far before covid because the car fumes in Bangkok would irritate her throat if she didn't. also talking about work, noticed more and more foreigners working along the EEC for multinationals, another way in if someone has the experience/education.
While you're there Ryan. Head to Lemon Tree. Best food I've ever eaten in Thailand. Hope it's still there! It was really popular. Opposite Central Mall. If you get chance, check it out. So delicious
I have a Charles Schab investment account and have a Mutual fund that is doing better than 20%. This Mutual fund has a long recorded of earning high returns year after year for many years.
Its the breakeven point on your investment (return on investment) in the hotels and restaurants we used to aim for a 2.5 year ROI which means within 2.5 years any money invested was returned, for online it is easier because there is no long rental contracts, renovations and equipment expenses.
Stumbled upon your video randomly, so I gave you a subscribe for you and your family 😊❤ seems like a chill channel, I love Thailand so much and Im looking to relocate there asap when I have my shit sorted out enough for me to leave the degenerated west. Best wishes!
It's the most interesting question for me cause I have lived here for years but wondered how much time you invest in producing, editing, if you use teams etc.. I see you in adds for products, heard you talk about cacao etc. Hope to run into some day. Best of luck.
@@thenakedguru You worked at Minor, Good ol' Bill. I think you made the right choice and we appreciate you. Hey, side question. Are you using a gimble? I saw you shoot on a bike and at the restaurant. Very clean.
Ive been here 21 years, i would love more advice. Ive been struggling since covid and am trying to convince my wife to set up an online shop to supplement her massage business. Would love to meet up or correspond. Great content. I also live in rural thailand. ....phrae. if youre ever coming this way please drop in. How can i contact you?
In Singapore, I need money for food, for rent, and to have fun with friends and family. Independence. Money isn't the only reason to work. Working can also give more independence and more control over my own life. And the reason for what causes desire for money is people who have a sense of insecurity do not consider what they have enough. They always compare themselves with other people and end up feeling inadequate. They want to measure up to a certain standard and this drives an excessive desire to make money. Including when covid ends up and still continuing only for some original sickness, I'm still wearing masks by protecting myself including making sense for them to understand that lives are important for us to be living without staying in any hospitals.
Ah! The mask issue. Thank you for explaining. I think the mask topic is very controversial. I do not support enforcement.

Here in Bangkok, strictly only mask in hospitals, banks and government buildings. Just been to hospital and they even give you a mask.
Watching people riding motorbikes with no helmet and a surgical mask that doesn't filter out the pollution made me laugh when I lived in Chiang Mai. That was before COVID too.

These kind of comments makes this shit worth doing - thanks 👍
Exactly right, get out of the cities and things are cheaper. I live in Kalasin region Na Mon I live very comfortably.
Masks, well, they can do what they want but I personaly avoid people with masks.
Avoid them?? They are usually in the service industry, so you will need to leave in this case.
You should do a travel channel. You are getting better on this thing. But you cant. Missing the kids and wife. It is so much more important.
Awesome like always Ryan 😊
Gorgeous and a biz woman
Hi Ryan
Very good and interesting vlog.
When l retired to los 4years ago, my wife said do not invest in Thailand as l will most likely lose it all.
She is probably right, I lost both my first two business’s

I think it’s wonderful that you can support your family and also be at home to educate and watch your children grow:)

exactly - i think alot of it is pollution, however all the girls in our 7/11 are masked up. Thanks for sharing!

Can a foreigner do a lazada shop themself? Do you need a work permit? Or need to put it in a thais name?
Legally to do any business you need the WP 👍
I have seen Thais and farangs invest more money than they can make in the long
term. Big outlays with very little return.
We reached ROI after 6 months but it’s 100% online - I wouldn’t go bricks and mortar personally 👍🙏
@@thenakedguru I don't understand ROI

Unfortunately not it’s much more complex 🙏🙏
