El Yunque is sooo beautiful and is the only rainforest in the USA. It is totally worth visiting- unfortunately the hurricane has caused a ton of damage to the rainforest but there is a lot of regrowth already. Some mud slides have happened so they continue to have parts of it closed. The lookout tower and La Coca falls are right off the road and fairly simple to get to.
The 4th spot that we wanted to share is El Hippie! You can type in Charco El Hippie in your google maps and find it easily! It is a local swimming hole and local will cliff jump- it is a little harder to find though! Be sure to take bug spray!!

so glad you enjoy my lovely island ❤️🇵🇷 I went in November, going again this summer with my mother and friends!!!
Just awesome!!!
I clicked not expecting you to include Las Paylas. Las Paylas was one of the highlights of our last trip to Puerto Rico. What a great, enjoyable day we had there.
La Coca and Yokahu are better than nothing, but just the tip of the iceberg. If you ever return to El Yunque, target Mt. Britton Tower and Juan Diego Falls as destinations. Juan Diego Falls used to be a "secret" little destination that wasn't even marked. Since the hurricane, supposedly it's one of the few trails open, and it's even marked with an official sign. I'm sure the experience is not what it used to be, but I would still seek it out. Before, you could even go on a weekend, and there were no crowds. Now there are probably crowds even on weekdays. Mt Britton is kinda like Yokahu, but way better. But you do have to work for it, unlike Yokahu. For Mt. Britton you have to park, and then do a considerable upward hike to the tower. But it makes the view and the breeze when you get there feel like a prize. And if you are lucky, there might be some clouds coming through that literally makes it feel like air conditioning while on the tower.
By the way, another nicely put together video.
Thank you for the tips!!
The whole rainforest has changed since the hurricane and lots of the areas were closed due to mud slides, even a year after the hurricane. I am really hoping everything can be opened as before, if it has not been yet.
@@mckaylabee4589 One of the best tips is to become familiar with PuertoRicoDayTrips.com, if you are not already. Great, GREAT resource of information for places to visit, and things to do. Using their search feature is a great way to streamline some of the information.
Beautiful Puerto Rico usa territory the number 8 wonder of the world
hello love your videos, I was born in Puerto Rico but moved to N.Y. 30 years ago and never been back, im planning a trip this coming august to the island and your videos are helping me a lot planning where to go and what to see. thanks for the valuable information.
So glad to hear!
Shame on you
🇵🇷 A Gift from God.
Luquillo's public beach behind the Kioskas is very still, but less than a mile down the same beach is Playa Azul (great for boogie boarding), then La Pared (great local surf beach). My wife and I own a place in Luquillo on Azul Beach - It is an INCREDIBLE small town with beautiful beaches.
Thanks for the tips!
I’m pretty sure that’s call las pailas , I ripped a lots of Shorts there, thanks for visiting the Island 🌴, next time don’t pay anybody do your own thing, cool video Peace ☮️

Love your videos 😍
We are going to PR this month ( my daughter invited me to explore ) I’m excited... but we still don’t have an idea what will be our itinerary 😅

I would recommend going all over! Anywhere you go, you will be love!
Loved all the footage, nicely done once again. PS Las Paylas is pronounced (las pie-las) and Luquillo is pronounced (Lu-key-yo) ;)
Yeah you’re right cool spot I remember back in the days, searching for Mushrooms 🍄
Great video! Would you recommend a tour guide for the rainforest? Or would we best doing it ourselves
Great question!! I don't feel like I have the absolute best answer for you because it depends on what you want to do! If you want to really hike in and see the best spots I would probably recommend a tour guide. But if you want to hit the spots that I recommended you can find all of those places on your own and they aren't far off the road. Hope that helps!
Glad you're working on your Spanish pronunciation !🏳️🌈
It looks so much fun! How deep was the water hole at the end of the slide? I’m going and can’t swim so if it’s too deep and I cant stand I won’t be able to do it 😢. I’m 5’5.
I am having a hard time remembering but I don't think it was super deep.
Hello....so what was the place with the natural slides called? How did you get to the parking at the old mans house? Just up the mountain? Thank you
Las Playas- he was outside and telling us where to park
It was a little hard to find. You can put it in Google Maps and hopefully you should end up in the right place! :)
Ok perfect so las paylas was the location whith the natural slides?
@@ronaldromero9532 Yes!
