Sukuna showed throughout the series that he understands Jujutsu on a fundamental level and can manipulate and expand upon techniques in a way no one else can. That's why he's the only character with an open Domain. What he did was basically observe Mahoraga and how it's able to cut through infinity, then applied the properties of that technique to his own.

So this entire time the difference with sakuna using 10 shadows and him not using it is that Mahoraga gave him the the answers to the homework while heien era would have to get the answers himself. Which would mean Sakuna was always stronger just didn’t have the correct knowledge on limitless until Mahoraga showed him the equation.
Pretty sure what he means is that when Mahoraga Cut “the world” he expanded his technique onto the world or a certain area of the world, and because Mahoraga’s technique nullified infinity, when it was spread onto the world, it nullified infinity in the area he spread it too, therefore gojo was just cleaved in half

I think people don’t understand what Gojo meant by he never could have won. The way I interpret it, Sukuna was never lacking ability, but knowledge. Sukuna could’ve always broken Gojo, he just didn’t know how. It took him watching Mahoraga slicing off Gojo’s arm to realize how to do it. I believe by cutting the space and not the body. (Though I’m still unsure on those specifics). We’ve seen Sukuna able to quickly learn. Copying Jogo’s technique and creating his own fingers. That’s why Gojo never could have won. So long as Sukuna came to realize the flaw Mahoraga exploited, he could’ve beaten Gojo. Mahoraga likely just sped up the process.
I doubt sakuna could’ve ever realized how to do it with mahoraga, on top of that sakuna says mahoraga applied his technique too the world, possibly meaning that he made infinity nullified in wherever he spread his technique and thats why he could get cut

Since Gojo said it Im going to have to take his word for it since he is really good at reading his opponents and the battle field, and its not like its a complete ass pull either. Sukuna copying Mahoraga is more akin to having someone take a test for you and then copying the answers off of them, without Mahoraga Sukuna probably couldve figured out a way around Gojo's infinity, much like just taking the test yourself, but it would've been a lot more of a hassle to accomplish. (Correct me if im wrong but he did know of one way to bypass Gojos infinity already, he just needed another to secure the win) Gojo was going to lose though i do wish Gege executed this a bit better, felt rushed. Though i do remember reading somewhere that Gege forgot to draw a whole ass chapter during the break and unintentionally made Gojos death off screened so we might get more next chapter, who really knows though.
There already is a way to bypass infinity and that's domain expansion, if we were reading the same manga then this theory makes no sense, simply because Sukuna had gojo trapped in shrine for like 6 chapters but failed to kill him and ate Gojos Red. Another way is Domain amplification, its like coating yourself in a domain so it bypasses infinity. Meaning you would just need to be better at hand to hand combat than Gojo for it to be effective, which would make sense for Sukuna since he has like 1000 years worth of battle experience and hes in Megumis body but yet he got knocked out. Doesn't make sense for the arrogant Gojo to just glaze Sukuna after his death, especially with so many drawbacks encumbering him.

Without taking over Fushiguro, Sukuna couldn't win at all, so when Gojo said to Yuji that he would win he was not lying, and when he said that the only one who can be on par with him was a 10 shadow user, he wasn't lying. Sukuna had to take over Fushiguro to get the win. Gojo Satoru lost but he is still the strongest individual, he did not need multiple peoples Cursed techniques to win
1: sukuna saw manohara use the slash 2: sukuna copied what Mano did with his own power Stop coping nga. The only thing holding sukuna back in this fight was him not KNOWING how to deal with infinity. Once he knew, it was over.
I hear people say it didn't matter if Maho was there, Sukuna would have still won by figuring out how to get past infinity on his own. But I still think if Maho wasn't part of the equation, Gojo could have used Purple more liberally without fear of Maho adapting to it. And Purple we could see still does a number on Sukuna even. Idk, I mean Sukuna supposedly has other tricks up his sleeve and didn't go all out, so I could see him still winning. But I'm not quite convinced it's a sure thing Gojo would have still lost if Maho wasn't there to begin with.

Otherwise why didn't he just 1-shot Maho with Purple from the beginning and make life easier? Sakuna was unable to one shot gojo because of infinite space, so his main goal during the fight was to find a way to figure out how to bypass it, he used mahoraga’s adaptability to speed up the process and learned how to bypass it quickly. Cutting space instead of gojo. Once Sakuna figured it out the fight was already over. Gojo said so himself, Sakuna still hasn’t shown most of his abilities and was holding back. Its like a math test, sakuna used a calculator(mahoraga) to solve the problem quickly, he can still sol it in his own but it would just take longer.

I think people don’t understand what Gojo meant by he never could have won. The way I interpret it, Sukuna was never lacking ability, but knowledge.
Sukuna could’ve always broken Gojo, he just didn’t know how. It took him watching Mahoraga slicing off Gojo’s arm to realize how to do it. I believe by cutting the space and not the body. (Though I’m still unsure on those specifics). We’ve seen Sukuna able to quickly learn. Copying Jogo’s technique and creating his own fingers.
That’s why Gojo never could have won. So long as Sukuna came to realize the flaw Mahoraga exploited, he could’ve beaten Gojo. Mahoraga likely just sped up the process.
I doubt sakuna could’ve ever realized how to do it with mahoraga, on top of that sakuna says mahoraga applied his technique too the world, possibly meaning that he made infinity nullified in wherever he spread his technique and thats why he could get cut

Since Gojo said it Im going to have to take his word for it since he is really good at reading his opponents and the battle field, and its not like its a complete ass pull either. Sukuna copying Mahoraga is more akin to having someone take a test for you and then copying the answers off of them, without Mahoraga Sukuna probably couldve figured out a way around Gojo's infinity, much like just taking the test yourself, but it would've been a lot more of a hassle to accomplish. (Correct me if im wrong but he did know of one way to bypass Gojos infinity already, he just needed another to secure the win)
Gojo was going to lose though i do wish Gege executed this a bit better, felt rushed. Though i do remember reading somewhere that Gege forgot to draw a whole ass chapter during the break and unintentionally made Gojos death off screened so we might get more next chapter, who really knows though.
There already is a way to bypass infinity and that's domain expansion, if we were reading the same manga then this theory makes no sense, simply because Sukuna had gojo trapped in shrine for like 6 chapters but failed to kill him and ate Gojos Red.
Another way is Domain amplification, its like coating yourself in a domain so it bypasses infinity. Meaning you would just need to be better at hand to hand combat than Gojo for it to be effective, which would make sense for Sukuna since he has like 1000 years worth of battle experience and hes in Megumis body but yet he got knocked out.
Doesn't make sense for the arrogant Gojo to just glaze Sukuna after his death, especially with so many drawbacks encumbering him.
