  • Hi everyone, I have to be honest, I totally didn't expect this video to get so many views, so I decided to add a little description.
In this video I filmed part of a Stibbert museum exhibit, ( ‪@museostibbert_fi‬ ) in Florenc, Italy, when I was on tour in Italy in December 2024. Truly one of the best collections I've seen around the world.
The museum is amazing in the richness and diversity of its collection. My guide was also very knowledgeable and very interesting about the collection. It was very interesting to interact with her. Thank you so much again!
The only two, but huge disadvantages: the tour is possible only with a guide, which is understandable because a huge number of exhibits are not covered with glass, and there are more than enough idiots in the world to whom, even as adults, it is necessary to explain that you can not touch historical treasures with your hands. The second disadvantage: the tour lasts only an hour, so I had absolutely no time to scrutinize each exhibit of the collection. Had I been there without a guide, it's likely that it would have taken me about two or three full-day visits to really scrutinize everything.
    All in all, enjoy!

Having said that, I must warn you that despite the inexpensive ticket (10 €) it is impossible to walk around the museum by yourself there, you must necessarily be part of a tour group recruited from among the people who come. Thus, you have to be with the tour guide provided by the museum. The tour unfortunately only lasts for an hour, so you will have very little time to see everything in detail.
      Still, it's really worth it!

I'm not surprised. Very few people know about this museum. In some ways it is even advantageous, because there are no huge crowds there, preventing you from familiarizing yourself with the museum's collection, besides, it is quite realistic to go there at any time and free to get in, unlike the Uffizzi Gallery.
