i love their judicious use of the blast beat...too many bands over rely on it, leaving them one dimensional....this drummer manages to always be extremely uptempo without sticking to any one thing for too long... by not succumbing to the temptation to blast away indiscriminately, it gives his blasts more impact

The "Storm of the light's bane" album is nothing short of EPIC. First time I listened to it back in 1997 my jaw just dropped and I knew I had found something to keep for a long time. That was the second time I felt like that. The first time was back in 1991 when I was an avid Iron Maiden fan and a friend played the opening song from Entombed's Clandestine album for me. I keep those memories close to heart.

What do I know about his chops and style, I'm not a drummer. But I tell you one thing, I love how the drums sound on this album. I'm not talking about pure technical ability, I'm talking about the production and the drum sound. To me, that echo-y sound is beautifully done, and this records' overall production is one of my favorite in the mid 90s released albums. Now again, you seem like you know what you talking about, and I never saw them live, but production and sound wise I like storm of the lights bane over reinkaos. Even though technicly speaking reinkaos may be better, plus I'm pretty sure asklund is by far better drummer than ole
