Bat Country is such a perfect song from songwriting perspective imo, everything fits so well together and the song just grooves from start to end. Typical A7X ingeniousness!

I remember being floored with the technicality of this record. I was a hardcore kid that liked 7th Trumpet and Waken. I was like “wait this is A7X?” When I heard this on the radio. The whole album was on another level than the previous ones from a technical, tasteful, and songwriting standpoint.

Chapter Four is bound to get one. There’s at least one song like it on every record, so it’s a heavy influence on their writing, plus it was a huge hit for concerts. Let’s hope it’s soon!

Jimmy always made jokes. But when it came time to play he was not distracted and always seemed to kill it. He was an awesome drummer. Brooks is good for A7X noe though since their songs have evolved and Brooks has helped give them their new tone.

14 years ago the best album ever was in the charts. 6/6/5 was epic and 14 years later Avenged Sevenfold makes bat country's breakdown, the song who brought me into real music and playing guitar (due to ssx on tour). The first time i was listening it and this SOLO will never be forgotten

Yeah, the wicked end is one of my all time favorites. From the solo to the re-intro is just absolutely epic. The part when the dueling guitars and shadows come in after the orchestra gives me chills every single time.

That solo is pretty tasty. And I honestly believe all the parts of the song gives you this bat vibe that definitely gave people an idea of who A7X were and put you guys on the map for a lot more people.

Hey guys you know what's interesting at that DRUM TRACK, is that the DRUM ARRANGING has some VARIATIONS of the same GROOVE each time it loops... and at the begging of it there's a "jazzy hi-hat groove" too !!! it's very effective, I mean, it makes the song dynamic... and I know what you guys meant when you felt the lack of that GUITAR PART ... when you guys kinda "sang the missing GUITAR part" I totally understood how important is each note ... and that "post-credit scene ( with you guys singing LA LA LA LOVE )" was Fun...

Bat Country always had a place in my heart. I really listened it first on MTV Indonesia in 2005... I was 10 at that day and I ask my brother, "who's this?". And, wham! Became #1 fan since than.
COE will always be my favorite album because you can hear The Rev from start to finish. Such a unique style.
