I've been using the cheaper nocks for a while now, some of the nocks need the activation pin inside the nock filed down I use a nail a bit thinner than the bow string and then rap sand paper around it then sand the pin until it's flush with the base of the nock. I also activated a nock just to see how long it would last, it stayed on for well over 30 hours.
While trying to trigger the one knock, I was just waiting for that file to slip out and you stab you in the hand. I have been using a different "amazon" lighted nock and think they are great. I have left mine on after shooting and gone back the next day and still found them on and running.
Bought some Amazon ones that have the window to turn off and have used them for 3 seasons including target shooting. I love them
