And you’re aging so well. My son came out when he was 14. He’s 43 now. I’d known since he was about 4 so I was relieved when he was finally true to himself.
His self awareness really saved his life. Like his mother said, Rufus was too ambitious and had too many plans for his own future to let his life be squandered with drugs. She knew he would find a way out of it and she was right. I just love his personality, he’s so wise.
"i wanna be part of the solution". Boy, you accomplished that. Still the most underrated artist from the last 30 years. Those of us who had the chance to stumble upon your music will be forever grateful.
I have not been a huge fan. His talent is undeniable, but I haven’t loved his voice. I clicked on this interview to see whether his speaking voice sounded like his singing voice. this interview makes me really like him-even his voice.

Love you, Rufus. You were a big part of my life when I listened to you as a teen in Texas and as I grew up and saw you in SF, London and Berlin (three cities I am lucky to say I have lived in).

2:15 Idk, I think Jeff Buckley and Kurt Cobain had some Queer vibes going on. I also see a lot of similarities between Jeff Buckley and Rufus Wainwright when it comes to their music. Anyway, we lost both Buckley and Kurt Cobain too young. I wish we could hear how those men could have evolved in their music.
