I have several pens that are seemingly all from this manufacturer. for the A108, I have the one you showed in the video, and the green and black one, which also has very nice resin. I would recommend trying the A109 as well, it is a flat top and slightly larger than the A108, but it comes with a #6 nib, and it's only $1 more, also at 365 days stationary store.
I have two of these, I got them from Bobby last year, and the machining is so different, one from the other, that I am convinced they are turned by hand. Outstanding value.
Thanks for this very nice review, Doug! It is surely a beautiful pen. On another note, I purchased an Asvine V126 based mainly on your review and I could not be happier. I am now considering the V200 after I watched your review of it. Thanks a lot, Doug, and please keep up your excellent work 👍🏽🙂
I have a Moonman M100 in the same acrylic and shape, ill send you some photos. I have a feeling they might of come off the same line and might be new old stock or something like that. But, anyways great score, beautiful pen and writes nicely. Well done on another 'Doug's special finds' -ps new segment haha. Chels c:
It’s close but not exactly the same. The Moonman has a metal ring below the section and the clip end comes to a rounded point. The nib seems better as well. Idk how much modification can be had on a line set up to change these specs but I don’t think it would be impossible. I love the mystery!
A nice review of an unbranded cheap Chinese pen Doug. Some time back, I acquired 3 metal pens that I thought were unbranded. It turned out one was a Jinhao 88. The other two have no external branding, however, both nibs are branded Yiren so I presume they made the pens. I was pleasantly surprised that they wrote as well as they do.
Dear Doug, great review as always 😊 As you seem to like acrylics 😉 have you ever considered a Tibaldi N60? I own the Emerald Green and it is one of the most stunning acrylics in my collection.
Pen master, can you recommend a nice affordable nibs that are suitable with majohn/asvine nib unit? Also I love your content, I never had ayt subscribtion but your channel gives me the most joy
@@InkquiringMinds are jowo better than asvine nibs? And I was thinking more about getting some caligraphy like penbbs or kaigelu but hard to find comparisons what is better
as for the manufacture, I've tried looking into it, but I haven't had much luck. I did find a reference to a company called Sepia Products Inc, out of Taiwan. the "A1xx" pens that have a #6 size nib all have a five petal flower engraving. Apparently that was the logo of this Sepia Products company and they were sued by Montblanc in the late 90's and early 2000's for trademark infringement, Montblanc thought the flower was too similar to their snowflake. they won in a court in the UK, and then again in a court in Taiwan. I'm not sure what became of the company, but it seems to me that either there were a bunch of spare nibs floating around that are still being used, or more likely, a company in China got Sepia's equipment and are still producing them.
I have a pen with one of these 'Iridium points' and the nib feels great. It's the "Black Samurai" (not Hongdian) pen from a unnamed brand that has a thousand plus sales. The rest of the pen is not that great though since it's a heavy and narrow metal fountain pen with an unusable clip. Edit: forgot to mention the pen was around $4.
I found where I got that name. If you check 365 Stationery’s listing there is a video that plays and it has the Taschen name on it. Also the name Matis.
Wow.....like the acrylic colour........💯💚✍️tq again ...
Welcome 😊
What a wonderful pen, really. If i ddn't have plans for a Fuliwen 017, i'd buy this asap.

lovely pen sir! Who knew "iridium point" nibs could be so nice.
They all say Iridium. Truth is, there is very little iridium in most points.

Simple, clean and sleek letting the chatoyance shine alone. I like it! 😇🩷🙏🙌

@@InkquiringMinds Ah, I see 😂
Great review once again. I have the green model and agree with you its a nice pen worth the $15. A bit small for my hand but very useful.
Totally agree
Gordon Lightfoot intro? Beautiful playing.
Thank you. It is from "If" by Bread.
I’ve been looking at this pen for months and have been procrastinating on pulling the trigger

If you don't like the regular Moonman/Majohn/Asvine #6 nibs, get a Jowo or Bock. Just use the nib collar and feed that came with the pen.

I don’t remember why but I have mine listed as Taschen??

When I asked about the A102, 365Days said “it’s just an EOM’
Looks a lot like a Moonman M100 in quicksand.
I agree. I have a Moonman M100, the nib was a Schmidt nib in what could be described as extra extra fine but a little bouncy.
