Lol the exact thing happened to me with the crank issue. Drove it, parked it went to start it the next day and nothing. Tested everything and it all tested fine. Got frustrated and hit the shifter on the column felt it move a sliver and said no way. Turned the key. Started just fine. Lol.

As Previous owner prior to my going in the NAVY, i had 33 on my Bronco. then i spun rod bearing, parked in my front Yard Left for my pops to deal with. I have no idea what he did but wasn't their when i came home on leave year later, any ways Many years later I have gotten another one, project, it's up running, still work in progress, i love the get set of 33's , same as you; not much mudding but 35 always rubbed when doing tight turns,

I replaced my D/s iner wheel well not that hard to do. drill out Spot welds remove, Now i used sheet metal screws to attach it, and this spring, its on my list things to do, going to grind off the parts sticking out just do a quick spot weld on the threads, so they don't back off. easy peasy ,. Love the Build., just got NEW front rotors and pads, from Discount Auto parts 104 delivered. the ones on the bronco now are bit chewy, old "Neutral safety/park position" The 80's gate is the same, just the glass is different. FYI...
