Epic haul today, Kev! Loved seeing the variety of cars and the process of loading them up. That little Citroen with 880,000 miles still starting is crazy! Sounds like a great day, can't wait to see the Devon Truck Show too.

Most of those cars are over 10 years younger than my car and look in a lot better condition 😮 Not sure while cars of that age are getting disposed of.
always the same thing, either ULEZ or rip of britain when it comes to actually fixing them.
I worked abroad and between projects or when in the UK on leave I would buy a little runner like one of those you loaded. My mate would check em out before purchase and then MOT them and take care of any little problems. It worked out cheaper than hiring and my daughter would run them out after my use, then it was the scrap heap for em. I was lent a Rolls Royce for two weeks to save me hiring, but the fuel alone came to more than the Hire and fuel I would have paid. But what a leave I had, and I was very thankful for that.

You are correct, The Isle of Grain is very industrial but also very rural
and looks like a bit of road maintenance is called for, it was more holes than road!
I cannot believe how good some cars are that people are willing to scrap these days. All 4 of these cars look way to good to scrap.
You should see the BMW recycling centre in Germany, its heartbreaking
Was going to say exactly the same thing, that Golf in particular has many more years in front of it with for just relatively small repair outlay, obviously without knowing what serviceable items it needs it’s got to be worth spending £500-£750 to get it tip top again.
Who says they will all be scrapped? The title says they are off to auction, have I genuinely missed something here?

Quick question, is there any safety to the front rams of the upper deck? I can hear the safety latches on the rear, but nothing on the front rams? Seems dodgy working under it if a seal or pipe fails!

I wonder if the the younger generation are totally ignorant of car mechanics (not the person type) that they just go into 'scrap it, time for a new one' mode, just like their phone? It's not their fault, you can't even do a basic service on cars now. Great to see you have a 'easy' day & finish at sensible hr. PS; have you ever been 1st back to yard? LOL!

Hi, thanks for your comment, i always give priority, often more than required but not when I'm already committed before the oncoming car came into view and the gaps in between the parked cars were not adequate for me to give priority.
On your second point the edit cut in just before I un strapped and unplugged the charging cable.

I am happy to be corrected and will apologise wholeheartedly for failing to insert a spot of humour - as I normally do when posting to you. In spite of following you quite some time, I am still amazed at the quality of many cars that people are sending off for scrap, or, hopefully for auction, and repair. Take care.
Great vlog...... But couple of things that red car had right of way if anyone was barging through it was you!! And house names why is it stupid to have a house name just because your sat nav won't work on names,,, you want a number so the nav will tell you when you have arrived. People depend to much on technology instead of trying to do it yourself. Few things you say could put people off oh and stop that nervous singing!!!!!!
