No, absolutely not they could have done a lot of things with the TUV 300 and TUV 300 Plus, they could have made it like a successor for the Bolero and made it look much better and they could have added in some Segment First features
In my opinion tuv 300 plus just needs following features 1. Rear AC vents 2. Reverse gear needs to be placed on right place, it's very awkward while driving. 3. And the most important stop calling it a 9 seater suv.

In 2018 passenger cars with 10 to 13 seating capacity, powered by 1.5 litre engine attracted only upto 3% cess. Mahindra could have easily made this car a 10 seater by converting the front row seats to a bench one. The 3 pot 1.5 litre unit from the tuv300 could have also been carried over after some tweaking. That way this car would have costed a couple of lakhs cheaper. Why I wonder Mahindra did not opt for it? Even the wheelbase of the tuv300 & the tuv300+ are identical. If they felt that the 24kgm torque from the 3 pot, 1.5 mill did not have the suitable bandwidth required to get the job done for a vehicle this size, then they even have a 30kgm, 4 pot, 1.5litre diesel mill?
In what world TUV looks like a TANK? Or for that matter 'Inspired from Tank' It's disproportionate, ugly but has utility. It's a VFM Buy base version, use third row space for commercial purpose.
Had this car been good looking it would have stopped the sale of Hexa an innova. this is a complete car(the top model) except a rear ac(roof mounted) and atleast some decent looks. kuch nahi to bolero ka front look copy kr lete. i dont know why they gave this car a sloppy roof and tilted a,b and d pillars ? achche se boxy hi bana dete like the Mercedes, or at least like bolero. very disappointing design.
it all started from tata sumo but not updated well but it shines a lot at those times after toyota qualis followed by a sonalika(tractor company) and then chevrolet tavera ruled it finally mahindra tuv300plus now no direct competitor except sumooooooo but worthless
