This week we're revisiting the world of KPOP and more specifically, BLACKPINK. The song and music video I chose to react/review is 'DDU DU DDU DU'.
Talk about production value once again, my goodness! These ladies and their team are smart on making sure the music video hits certain level of expectation as far as the aesthetic is concerned.
I've only listened to two of their songs so far but that is definitely something that stands out to me. They take their craft very seriously but also the package they are presenting to the viewer.
I like too how they are able to switch up their flows throughout the track. There is a good balance between their rapping abilities and then the harmony and softness of their vocals. It is not a mystery as to why BLACKPINK and KPOP as a whole is exploding right now.

Good reaction. Just FYI, there are a very few but vocal RUclips Kpop trolls that live to harass RUclips reactors, hoping to get under their skin and get a mention in their next reaction video. They love getting down and dirty in back and forth mud sling fests. They sometimes play like fans, sometimes just all out haters. What they hate the most is being totally ignored. Suggestion: Just completely ignore their existence, or ban them from your channel, but don't ever respond to them which will drive them crazy since they are exerting a lot of energy and getting no results.

Jennie and Lisa, the rappers of the group, can legitimately spit fire. They are among the best rappers in Kpop and THE best from that industry when it comes to rapping in English. Jennie is spitting her iconic rap in this song at around 8 syllables per second, which is pretty damn fast. She also has an English version of the rap that they do in the Japanese version of the song which is the same speed and dope af. Definitely check out "Pink Venom", it's like one big homage to hip hop with lots of references made to some iconic songs.
I was a hip hop fan. Was introduced to kpop back in 2012 with Gangnam Style. I discovered that some groups were incorporating hip hop into their songs. So when Blackpink came along, it was an easy transition
Do me [and you] a favor: just shut out of your channel those toxic commentors ASAP. They are a minority in the K-pop fandom, but unfortunately, still there are still too many of them, who apparently could stay not alive without spewing nasty trash. Trust me on this, I have been into K-pop for more than 5 years, these are not passionate fans of anything. They are just toxic keyboard warriors against the world hiding behind the internet anonymity. I go to reactor channels like yours to support people who appreciate the things I appreciate, and sometimes I learn to appreciate things people like you appreciate. Be yourself. Kpop culture is very toxic for two main reasons. It’s very competitive and relatively young. Every year over fifty new groups debut. Just a handful survive. So an intense passionate following is unfortunately needed to survive in the industry. Fandom are often at each other’s neck so some fans have an innate defensive knee jerk reaction when they feel their faves are being disrespected. Par for the course. You’re a great reactor. Just a minor cultural shock when first being introduced to Kpop. But like you said, it’s the minority that are toxic but sadly it only takes a few bad apples to ruin the entire cart.

Recommend that you check these ladies out in chronological order, start with their 2 debut songs/music videos released on 08/08/2016: (1) 'Boombayah', ruclips.net/video/bwmSjveL3Lc/видео.html, and 'Whistle', ruclips.net/video/dISNgvVpWlo/видео.html. I recommend that you react to both at the same time, not only because these were released within minutes or each other, but it is a chance for you to see how versatile these ladies are.
