You found a very early version of that song I had never seen before. There are a lot of early Jinjer gems out there when they were playing mostly smaller venues.
Hello Deborah. I wanna thank you because you made me discover this live version of I speak astronomy that I didn't know. I have missed this "more intimate" live era. My 3 times live were more recent and with larger crowd. Sorry for my horrible English. Keep on with Jinjer. There is more and more😊
@@VocalCitizenoh man we've got a new album coming soon! I'm expecting a new video any day now. We'll see new songs when we see them live this year! Super exciting!!
I'm thankful my three times have all been smaller venues, general admission. I've been able to get in the front row all three times. And I'm planning to do it again in October in Charlotte with my daughter! Unfortunately for Europe, Jinjer doesn't have any headlining shows booked there. It's all festivals and the Sepultura tour, although I've heard rumors Jinjer will be co-headlining that tour. Hopefully you'll get a full long set of Jinjer. PS Your English is not at all horrible! In fact it's much better than many people who were born in the United States. No need to apologize my friend! You're absolutely fine.

Yes great stripped down performance to feature. Especially since you've heard this song before. As someone that has heard them all a hundred times, great sound/engineering or imperfect, variety is key to longevity.
There's the Alive in Melbourne album from 2020 (I think it's only available as a download now) and this year they released a DVD/BlueRay/CD box set Live in Los Angeles (also available as just an audio download). Both have live versions of I Speak Astronomy.
Hey, love, I go where the links take me. I'm certain I'll be consuming many live versions of their work. I'm not just a YT Jinjer fan... I'm in for the long haul. Thanks for watching! 😜
Thank you. I think this version has a lot of character and a glimpse of the last vestiges of the pre record label Tatiana as she was changing post signing to Napalm. More grit, flannel shirt, I'm just here for the party look. Not that I dislike any of her looks and singing styles she has had. They went through a lot to get where they are and this video is a band that for years traveled around Eastern Europe in a dirty old van, booking their own shows, struggling to eat, playing tiny clubs, now with a record deal and a new album. I was a professional audio engineer and musician from the late 70s until the early 90s so I appreciate a good live multitrack recording. I've also done plenty myself and as long as it isn't the crappy fan, shot with a cell phone in the audience sort of video that is distracting I prefer the recordings that capture the band as they were at the time. Sure the kick drum is too loud (because she's standing in front of the kit the entire time and can't get away from it) and you can't hear Roman as well but I could go on and on about the technical reasons doing a recording in a club like that isn't ideal. Sometimes you just have to enjoy the performance.
I dig the gritty... nothing like the organic feel of just... being there. What kind of music did you make? I'd love to hear. Thanks again so much for supporting my channel. 🫠
@@VocalCitizen Professional paid work I started in a jazz band with people from my high school jazz band with our instructor. Then to a punk/new wave group called "The Nukes", a couple classic rock groups, a couple of 80s rock groups, a couple of country groups and then a few metal acts from late 80s into the 90s. Either playing drums and doing vocals or running show production or both. Even sang a few backups while doing FOH sound on occasion. Six of those years pretty much on the road solid save for a few weeks off here and there. Graduate of Full Sail Center of Recording Arts in Orlando. Now a self taught computer programmer for about 28 years.
@coder4liberty Can confirm. Live tracking is tricky as hell...do I pull down the kick to compensate....but then when she turns or takes a few steps, the whole mix changes....but... I wouldn't trade it for a 9-5....now I just oversee production for a few venues after being in the trenches of live sound and lighting for about 20 years.... Salute to a fellow stage monkey!
I don't know about "better" just more grit which she used to use a lot of intentionally. When I saw them in Nashville in 2022 the ending was sans the grit and just like the studio so the grit here was intentional not that she was having an issue with it. The Live in Melbourne version is good too I just thought seeing her with her dreads would be a good choice. Because some of these festivals they play at give bands the lowest quality recordings you can get off the FOH board this is still better than anything off the Wacken 2019 set save for Perennial which the band did with their own equipment.
While I love this version, later ones are even better. This is pre-Pisces Live, since Tati has her dreads, which she has not had for many years. But still this is killer!
I usually enjoy the live versions the best. Same with Ren. They feed off the energy of the crowd and it makes a difference. Even with small busking crowds, Ren vibes off the energy off it all. I love this version of the song better than the official video, but the official video is gorgeous!
That's the Lemon Room in Madrid. The stage is pretty small to start with and you can see other band gear behind them so they barely have any room in this one. If Vlad had a typical metal kit it would be even worse. Before King of Everything was recorded Tati got rid of her original dreads, then she briefly brought them back afterwards so Vlad is very new to the band here.
🤘🇺🇦❤️ Jinjer 🌌

Such a sweet love song.❤

Great you're back. Take care!
I'm so happy to be back. All I thought of while sick was my channel and how I wasn't uploading. LOL Tells you I love this....
Heard it a hundred times before! Go ahead and sing!
I kinda did, doll. LOL
Tatiana is straightup badass - kinda ike you! Glad to see you back in full effect!!! Keep on rollin' babe! 🤘

yay.... 😍
Lol the small madrid club gig 😂😂......alive in melbourne 2020, resurrection fest 2018, hellfest 2021 and many other better audio versions for this 😂😂.

All good, dollface. LOVE YA
Cool to see a different live capture!
Audio on this is clean, but I prefer Melbourne for the stage. Tati is held back here.
I imagine I'll react to all their live stuff. I'm okay with the "venue vibe sound". Reminds me of my promotion days.

DAMN... Like "Going Nowhere" Nukes from SF??? Probably not, but that song was my jam... LOL
Sounds like a life well-lived.
ayyyyy
This is an older concert, in the more recent ones her voice is much better
Priority requesters send me the link, I react to it.
I'll cover all their content, no worries.

I agree, Shadow of Amanda. He feeds off of us as we do off of him. A happy, deeply satisfying symbiosis.
I wonder about the audience. Either they are deaf or dead🥴
I cannot be sure, but I imagine the crowd was exhausted already... LOL
Don’t let Tati hear you say she uses “fry”! 😱 ruclips.net/video/DPQs7BFWqS0/видео.htmlm09s
LOL I'll remove it from my vernacular.
Is that dmitri on drums here
Perhaps... ??
No, it's Vlad.
@@jameswarner5809 wasn't sure. His ghost notes were way less ghosty. Playing a little less subtle. Could be the room.
