I don't know if David see's any of these comments, but I listen to all types of music, and all sorts of groups and artists. David Nail is the only artist I have found in 40 years where I actually enjoy listening to every song he has recorded. In my opinion one of the best song writers and singers in the last 20 years.

I know that the suits force major label artists to play ball a little bit, but I love the way David Nail has made both this song and "Whatever She's Got" into relatively tasteful numbers that can still be appreciated for sheer catchiness and for his vocals. Looking forward to another album where the cuts make looking past the lead single worth it.

A lot of people say country music is repetitive in what is sung about. Truth is, country music has a story to tell with each song. Very hard to find in modern day music. Proud of my country music and David Nail is an example of keeping this genre alive!
Lots of songs tell stories. But most of country songs talk about the same things which is why I dont really dig the genre. I'm gradually accepting it a little bit. Still dont like a lot of country. I miss Johnny Cash. Old school country!

Everything about this song is perfect, the production, the mix, THE DRUMMER, all the musicians...I guess he uses his road band not just studio musicians. Perfection especially listening thru headphones/Bluetooth. Sounds like in the studio listening to playback of final miix!

Agree both amazing singers but imho, David is WAY better. Gary does too many runs, like overkill at times. When you pull back a little and don't try so hard to show your chops on every phrase, it becomes more impactful. I've mostly seen him/Gary do this on live performances when he's done a song a zillion times and is maybe trying (too hard, imo) to mix it up and bring something fresh to the table. David just effortlessly squeezes every ounce of emotion out of a song, whether it be his or someone else's, and whether it's an emotional masterpiece like "Forgiveness", a somber self-reflective stunner like "Oh Mother" or a feel good "this is my happy place" sweet spot like "Night's On Fire", he has the pitch perfect balance of holding back and pulling out the stops, emotionally speaking. I think his own personal struggles give him that gift. I honestly don't know how can get thru a song like Forgiveness or The Secret but to me he literally has "an annointing" that comes over him and enables him to do so. I'm the one who's an emotionally wreck! ... I love them all from one end of the spectrum to the other, and everything in between!! And notice how his vocal chops are so obvious but so tastefully handed out that it always leaves you wanting more!! Kinda like other good things in life! If you're not overly saturated youre never truly satiated!!👊😉! Can't believe country music stations are sooo missing the boat on Nail, how can they not see what is so obvious, as he could be the hottest artist out there, as big as, say a Brett Young. Too me he, David, puts Luke Bryan and other "so called" hotties to shame. He can RUN circles around them and he just IS hot, not even trying to be! He cares more about the music than being the "total package"...which he is without trying!!
