Hi I just found you! I like your style! Very calm and soothing! I go back and forth between diamond painting and crochet! Can you turn your little nome into a coffee cozy! That would be so cute! And a fast project! My name is Ricki and very happy to meet you!
Hi Ricki! Thank you for the kind comments. Very creative thinking about turning this into a coffee cozy. ☕ Give it a whirl, I bet it will be cute! 🧶❤🧶
Candy jar
I made one for my son last Christmas full of M & Ms. I give him a box or jar or cup full of m & ms each year
That's awesome!!!
Hi I just found you! I enjoyed your voice and how clearly you teach and count. I really enjoyed the lesson on the gnome. Do you think you can make the gnome on a coffee cozy! I would love to learn this for my family! My name is Ricki! Glad to meet you! 💜❤️🧡💙💚💛🧝
Is there a written pattern? I'm working on the nose. and the narration is different than what is printed on the screen. I'm on the row that has 2 SC in first Stitch, then a SC in the next 3 Stitches. On the screen it says to make 2 rows of SC around. But the narrations says it is time to start Decreasing. I see others have made this with absolutely no questions. I'm going to read further down in the comments.
I find crocheting the hat so difficult, I've tried so many tutorials but none simplifies it enough for me, I always end up with either less or more than is needed. I would just like to add I have crochet lots of garments but the gnome hat beats me every time and I really would love to make them.
SORRY NO SE EL INGLES BIEN PERO ME ENCANTO LA FRASE TERAPIA TENGO AÑOS K AGO CROCHET Y PARA MI ES UNA TERAPIA EN SERIO AMI ME RELAJA GRACIAS POR LA FRASE TERAPIA SALUDOS DESDE SULLIVAN CITY TEXAS
I read through the comments and found out about stuffing and gluing the hat on the cover, but I have another quick question, do you glue the main part of the gnome to the jar itself to make sure that it stays up? Super cute idea and pattern! Love it!
I didn't glue the main part of the gnome to the jar but that is an option. 💕🧶💕
Hi Barbara, love the gnome. Please , what type of brush did you use on the beard? Thank-you.
Thank you Barbara! I used a small hairbrush I had on hand. Nothing special, but I did use short strokes until the beard yarn became soft.
Hi. I loved your tutorial! What happened to the last bit of the video? Did you glue the hat on to the lid or what? Also, can you provide written instructions? Otherwise the project is great for beginners and I like the way you take your time to explain the process. Thank you.
Hi Jasha! I had technical difficulties and unfortunately lost that section of video. I glued the hat to the lid with the hot glue gun. At this time I do not have written instructions available but hope to have them soon. Thanks for your kind words!
Finished but did not hear how to attach the hat to the lid same way hot glue? Brilliant idea for beard to love that don't need faux fur either merry Christmas..
Hi Bernie. Yes, hot glue all around lid. 🧶😊🧶😊
Hi I stopped by to visit you're Lovely channel. I hit all the buttons and bell I hope you do too Tyfs ❤ I'm soooo Looking forward to seeing more videos! Have a terrific day much love to you 🥰
How do you keep the hat on the jar lid ? The video skipped this part ? Do you stuff the hat and glue onto lid ?
Hi Lorraine. Yes, stuff the hat and glue the brim to the jar lid. 🧶🧶🧶
Hi sorry to bother you put i had a dear, i want to make this gnome cover for a big sweet jar like the ones in the shops 2.75kg do i just keep going on the increases for both cover and hat and a bigger hook size. thank you ..kim
Hi Kim! I would keep increasing the bottom if the jar until it just covers the bottom, then continue up the sides. The hat can be made bigger by continuing around and adding increase stitches to keep it growing. Happy crocheting!! 🧶❤🧶❤🧶❤🧶
@@CrochetTherapy Hi thank you for getting back to me , i will do as you said and try to finish it for Christmas, Have a great Christmas and a better new year,,Kim🎄🎄.
🧶.
Just made one. So cute. Wish I could show you a pic of him.
If you go to our Facebook group (link below the video) you'll be able to post your photos. I would love to see your gnome! 😊😊😊🧶💙🧶💙🧶💙
I am starting my Christmas gift early instead of glue how could I sew it ....I have a glue gun but would rather sew.....hope you see this bc it is May 10 ty for this
Hi there!! You could probably sew the nose to the hat, the only thing I'm not sure about would be the hat onto the lid. You could make the hat removable and just have it sit on the lid. I can't wait to see your results!!
If you wanted to close the gnome up how would decrease it?!!
If i wanted to close up the gnome by stuffing the body, I would just do a decrease stitch until the top is closed. The other option could be to thread a needle with yarn and run the needle through each stitch and pull to close. That would be super cute too.
Does the hat just sit on top and you take it off to unscrew the top? I don’t see how you attached the hat. Thanks! I am a 73 year old newbie.
I used the glue gun to attach the hat to the outside of the lid. 🥰🎄
@@CrochetTherapy Thank you! Such a cute pattern!
What is the buzzing noise?
How do you make the hat stay on and stand up please , your video doesn’t show it , thank you
Hi there! I glued the nose and hat to the lid.
Hi, sorry to bother you but i got to the hat bit and you do not show how you put the hat together, do you stuff it and glue it on the top too... thank you Kim.
Hi Kim. I'm so sorry about that part. I lost the video if that part. Yes, I stuff the hat and them use a hot glue gun to attach it to the outer rim of the lid. Please let me know if you need additional help. 💙🧶💙🧶
@@CrochetTherapy Hi, thank you for getting back to me, i will do as you said .I have made a Father Christmas one with black belt as i went. Take care..Kim
Why is this video incomplete?
Is the hat glued to the nose and lid?
Yes, it's hot glued to the lid.
@@CrochetTherapy your video does not show how you clued the hat on
The hat is hot glued to the lid. First hot glue the nose, then hot glue the hat. Sorry for the confusion.
Nice narration but a tad confusing with your directions of 2-1-1 SC etc. Also missing end of the video to complete.
Gee this is great, but you skipped how to put hat on.
.
Ok…I read below…hot glue all around the lid……thank you
This tutorial was disappointing. Skipped steps when crocheting body and hat, then when it got to gluing hat on it totally skipped to end of video. I would like to use this video, but crocheting using this tutorial had my stitches all messed up. They are cute.
Love this gnome but mathematical design is wrong how if you increasing by 4 each time did you get to 18? (Row11) you go from 4 to 8 to 12 to18! Doesn’t make sense which really let me down as got frustrated with it in the end and gave up won’t be watching your videos again sorry
This is not a circle, math doesn't come into play with this design. With amigurumi designs such as the hat in order to get a certain look of the hat, row 11 instructs you to put 2 sc in every other stitch. Since we began with 12 stitches the next row would add 6 stitches which would equal 18. The gnome hat is not designed to be perfectly round. I hope you understand and thank you for reaching out.
