See, i'm partway through the 2nd story and yeah, husband has a point about putting his daughter first, but know that, in doing so, you are telling you wife that she is not your priority. So don't get mad about your wife seeking outside support for her feelings because her needs aren't being met and if she were to vent to you, you'd likely just tell her she's being unwelcoming or overbearing. She probably feels so unheard and so unloved because her husband is changing every single one of their plans up for a daughter he never formally or meaningfully introduced her to in the 8 years they were together. You want to say that she's manipulating you? Leave her then, and let her find someone who will actually put her first and hear her out.
2nd story.. the wife is seeing what her future entails.. his daughter will come before her and their child..a good parent would've tried to blend his old family with his new family.. they don't add more fuel to the growing division. By him not including his wife in their outings, he was solidifying to his daughter THEY are a family and his wife and unborn child didn't matter nor would they be seen as "family"... he did nothing to get his wife & child to bond.... he dismissed her feelings, called her childish and accused her of being jealous of his 8yro... I'm sorry but every ounce of feelings I had for him would've evaporated long ago... Your wife wasn't jealous of your daughter sir🙄. She was hurt that you didn't seem to care about her or y'all unborn child. Why wouldn't she want a divorce? He wouldn't even go to her dr appointments with her.
