I like that this machine has a knob to control the steam because it's so easy to tell how to turn it off when you are done. I also like the seal on the bean hopper. Happy to hear that the steam wand can be used without the auto frothing attachment
The steam is switched on and off with a button. The control knob on the front is for selecting the strength of the coffee - 7g, 9g or 11g.

@@rosalie.e.morgan sorry. I thought you were talking about the Naviglio. You are right about the Brera.
When the Brera goes into standby mode the light continuously blinks red as can be seen on the video with the machine on the right. Is there any way to turn this off so it doesn't blink for 23 hours until I make my next espresso. I know I can flip the switch in the back but I don't want to do that. I know when the machine is on or off by looking at the display screen so this blinking I feel is unnecessary.
Hello Michael, I am sorry, the standby button will continue to flash unless you turn the machine off at the back.
Those two clowns seem to still trying to figure out the machine.
If that's the best vid they can make, I'd forget about it. The machine was more a prop than the star of the show. More like a couple of wide boys flogging a used car. Well....... I 'm still no wiser.
I stopped watching the video because of the parrot wearing grey.
