This is very much insightful, I went through multiple videos on the streaming applications. This one not only was informative but was engaging too ( found it easier to stay focussed ).
I understand it uses several protocols but not all engineers working on such things on day to day. So they will watch such videos to gain knowledge. But I believe a real time working experience is much ahead than improving the learning path with such terminology. Such things should be learnt, analyze, experience during the implementation in a project with research spike. If my company is not working on such video technology, then I will never ask the candidate to design zoom. Because such discussion exposes only 0.00001% of zoom system design having depth in none of the terms discussed.
Thanks for giving brief intro of vedio calling(1:1 and broadcast). But if you create a little more insightful video about how these things work, like in this video you just touched on some topics like web-RTC(not covered it's flow), stun/turn servers working, who is maintaining post layer functionality like RMTP etc in broadcast call, does HLS sends video info in 1:1 calls as well and at last a combined overall block diagram for video calling(1:1 and broadcast). Overall this video gives a good start for understanding video calling infra but it will be way more great if you can clear above queries by making a little more insightful video on it.
Yes Sahil, totally agree with you, whatever knowledge we get from Kushagra, i will take it forward and do in depth video of this Video calling app. I am aware of it whatever points you mentioned, thank you for your honest feedback
Good to see all parts you are discussing like JWT too. But it is NFR I feel. We should more focus on the Actual FR. I mean how the actual video communication happens.
Right Rabindra. I will cover the complete video. I was able to grab Kushagra's valuable time and got lot of information. Based on that info i will make detailed video later.
Yes UDP is used for Video streaming or video conf apps. Since consistency can be comprimised for fast data transfer rate . Since there are no rate limiter, error checks . WebRTC is more suitable in this case . This is purely my opinion. Any corrections or knowledge is appreciated. Thank You
i have been following the series from start, still sab kuch upar se chala gaya!!
Yes this is an ad-hoc video, i haven't covered those topics in depth yet.
Don't worry I will cover this video again.
thanks... will be very helpful@@ConceptandCoding

what was it, fully gone suddenly
36:36 talking about lagging and the video lagged. Nice demo.
:)
This video was very difficult to follow for someone who has no or little knowledge about system design.
UDP is used for video conferencing app right? Not mentioned anywhere.

What is codex that you guys are talking about?
Thats is what they should discuss first instead discussing about zoom system design
wasted 50 mins
