  • e Uechi Ryu est l'un des styles les plus respectes de la tradition martiale du Karate-do.
    Gustavo Gondra, 8e Dan de Karate et de Kobudo, président de la World Uechi Ryu Karate Do et Kobudo Organization et l'un des meilleurs arbitres de Karate traditionnel à niveau international. Il reçut des mains de Sensei Kanei la représentation du style pour l'Argentine, en plus du 4e Dan et fut elève direct de S. Takamiyagui 9e Dan, Y. Arakaki 9e Dan et actuellement de Sinju Gushi 9e Dan, tous des grands maîtres de l'Association originale du style que presida Sensei Kanei Uechi jusqu'à sa mort. Nous étudions avec lui Hojo Undo (un ensemble de techniques élémentaires avec lesquelles sont constitues les katas), Hojo Undo Bunkai, San Chin Kata y Kitae, Kyu Kumite (des exercices prépares d'attaque et de défense), Se San (5e kata du style) et Bunkai, Kote Kitae (techniques d'endurcissement), San Se Ryu (3e kata) et des techniques libres incluses dans les formes d'Ueshi Ryu.

    I saw video of Sensei when he was young sparring for his Black Belt test in Okinawa Japan.....This dude is the Real Deal. No joke. This is a Sensei you want on your side when going into battle. His Uechi Ryu Style of Karate is dangerous.

    Hojo Undo Techniques sur lesquelles se basent les katas.
    Jumbi Undo = échauffement.
    Hojo Undo = conditionnement physique avec matériel.
    Les Katas sont composés des différents Jutsu (= technique, aussi = ensemble de techniques).
    Bunkai = application des Katas.
    Kote Kitae = conditionnement physique à deux.
    Kakie = entraînement technique à deux.
    XXX Kumite = combat. Des versions préparées pour travailler la forme aux versions complètement improvisées telles que Nihon Kumite (Goju-ryu) ou (Jumen/Gomen Irumi Kumite, diverses écoles).
    Sanchin (pas "San Chin") => vient du Tao chinois "Sanzhen" issu du Taizu (Tai Zu) Quan, aujourd'hui compris dans le Wu Zu Quan, venant du dialecte de la province chinoise du Fujian. Kata également présent dans les écoles dérivées du Naha-te.
    Seisan (ou Seishan, pas "Se San") => vient du Tao chinois "Sesan" (dialecte du Fujian), également présent dans le Wu Zu Quan et dans les écoles issues du Naha-te.
    Sanseiryu (ou San Seiru, pas "San Se Ryu") => vient du Tao chinois "San Seryu", qui signifie "dragon bleu". Également présent dans le Wu Zu Quan et dans les écoles issues du Naha-te.
    "Style" de Karate => n'existe pas à Okinawa. On ne parle pas de style, mais simplement d'école ou de dojo, car pour les habitants d'Okinawa, le Karate est unique et indivisible, comme toute forme d'art martial. C'est pourquoi je pense que la voix off n'a jamais étudié le Karate à Okinawa, berceau du Uechi-ryu (équivalent au Pangai Noon chinois).
    J'ai moi-même eu la chance d'étudier un peu de Uechi-ryu à Okinawa sous la férule de sensei Shinjo Kiyohide. Ne vous fiez pas aux termes dans la vidéo : presque tout est faux, mal employé ou avec une signification biaisée.

    I wish they show how to parry and counter punch against the western boxing of job-straight punching or job and cross punching.

    • @Oso_travels
      @Oso_travels 5 лет назад +1

      its the same concept. in other arts such as silat and fma styles and also wing chun I think, they will parry the jab then do the major technique or circle block in this vid on the cross which will be the slower more powerful punch similar to how they are throwing jabs here.

    • @jean4j_
      @jean4j_ 3 года назад +1

      @@Oso_travels Yes true! However it's a legit question since in traditional martial arts practitioners usually do not pull back punches like they do in boxing. It may be more challenging to grab the forearm of the opponent after a circle block (Uechi-Ryu style) against a fast boxing jab.

      True comment. I started in the early 60s, 5 years to get a shodan... standards have eroded in the face of the mighty dollar...unfortunately the situation cannot be reversed

    • @jean4j_
      @jean4j_ 3 года назад

      @@vonclap in France the situation is a bit different because black belts are given by the national karate federation, teachers can't give belts to student directly. So there's a good quality control in that sense.
      I personally spent 10 years to get my black belt in Wado-Ryu Karate. But I started when I was 10 years old, so it takes longer for kids.

    I accept that the strikes and blocks are effective individually - as in, one strike to one block, or one strike - but real fights are not made a single strikes. The adversary will launch a flurry of blows. And yet, every single karate demonstration, even at full speed, shows the attacks with pauses between strikes. That's why I don't believe in the effectiveness of traditional martial arts. Say what you want, even make some outlandish claim about your personal power (LOL), but the truth is undeniable: If Karate was effective in street fighting, it would be used. The reality is that street fights, and professional MMA fighters, use boxing/Muay Thai for striking. There is a reason for that: Keeping your hands up near your face economizes energy and protects the area that matters. The karate blocks, especially the full circle of Uechi Ryu, are slower (can't be faster than hands already by the face). But let's say that you are Goku, and your speed is superhuman. Most people around the world do not punch straight from the hip, but from the face, so those karate body blocks are useless. Additionally, you cannot block fast enough, even a high block, two or three hits in a row (jab, cross, jab) from a boxer. I have watched over and over, countless videos, of Karate practitioners having to abandon their karate techniques in sparring sessions against non-Karate fighters. The only thing that remains as a strength from karate are the kicks. That is.. it.
