Gert what a Perfect Performance. You two Godly Men are what this world needs to hear more of. You and Michal Blessed so many people this past hr or so. You both touched the hearts of many and for that I am very grateful. Your organ playing speaks to us from the Lord Above. Thankyou Michael for being a big part of the beautiful organ music. Thankyou to all who were able to share in this Special Concert. Thankyou to Terry Purvis for always welcoming and speaking to the listeners. Thankyou!
David, you are welcome. I am just so happy to find other organ fan lovers who appreciate the music as much as I do. I feel blessed to be a part of you all.
Gert and Michael. What a privilege to witness your playing this evening. In these fiercely competitive and selfish days, it has been such a joy to see your joy in playing and supporting each other. Two talented and humble young men giving us the best they had to give. I was bowled over. Thank you to both of you. May God bless you both. 🙏
Anne, You are so right!!! Seeing the smiles on the guys faces on the last piece you can truly see how much fun it was to have a duet! Blessings from Wisc †
Am in a 7th heaven by this concert by the two of you, . All items superb with the final Feike Asma Now Thank We All our God with 4 hands exciting beyond all measure. Thank you both Gert and Michael.
Gold medals for both of you! Especially the performance of the last piece was monumental…. The joy and incredible performance ( that fist coming up from time to time ) of you both is giving me so much joy… God bless you all!
I'm from Pittsburgh and was not aware of Michael.............am now!! Hopefully a stopover in Pittsburgh will be included in Gert's first tour of the U.S.
Such a precious concert and what precious brotherly love between these two young men. Bless you both for you have given God the glory He deserves and you have also warmed many hearts around the world with your gift of beautiful and moving music. Thank you
Dynamic performance given by two gifted young organists. Gert, I relish it when you perform duets with other accomplished organists, it is a feast for the eyes. The true beauty of music is that it connects people as it did for you and Michael. The program selections were indeed a joy to hear. My soul feels lifted and nourished by your music. It felt like the heavens opened up in praise. Thank you both for a remarkable concert. My sincere appreciation to Michael for traveling the distance to join Gert for this international concert and Samuël for his technical expertise. Blessings to the family. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Terry, your comments are always very kind and inspirational. They are always very true and loving. You always seem to say what we all feel. Thankyou Terry
David, you are welcome. Your comment truly warms my 💙 and I sincerely thank you. I get so "excited" when Gert plays I just want him to know how much his music and the time he puts into these concerts is appreciated.
The intimate and expansive grandeur of the Father, the tenderness of the Son, and Holy Spirit that is like a great wind, the Trinity Fugue has meant a lot to me. I usually can only play the Father part. Gee, Michael is so well groomed! And it is hard to travel to the Netherlands. Good show, Gert and Michael!
What a wonderful experience of friendship, talent and faith. Thank you both for a heartfelt concert, Gert and Michael. I feel blessed by the power of your music. Thank you !
Amazing! Really glad I found this channel. Can't wait to watch many more performances. Thank you for the opportunity to see and hear these wonderful organs in my home.
Thank you ever so much for this concert. It was absolutely “top notch”, pure joy. Thank you to Michael. It’s good to meet you and get to learn of your music as well. Blessings!
Thank you Gert and Michael for the beautifully performed music and the lovely concluding remarks given to all of us. God bless you both and your families. With love from Australia.
Congratulations Teachers. It is always a pleasure to listen to you even through this medium. Hopefully this pandemic ends soon to appreciate its beautiful interpretations in person. Thank you for this moment for our soul and spirit that fills me with great peace. May this friendship between you masters Gert and Michael endure. Strong hug for both of you from the City of Santiago de Querétaro, QRO., MEXICO.

Je regarde et j'écoute à nouveau ce magnifique concert, et je me dis que c'est un très beau cadeau que vous nous avez offert hier soir Gert et Michael! Merci infiniment 🎶💕🎶Dieu vous bénisse 🙏
Gert, how great it is to see and hear you both playing in turn, works which all glorify God, Father, Son and Holy Ghost in their own special Way, just as Bach's beautiful prelude and fugue played by MK did. Thanks so much for another joyful, heartfelt and uplifting performance. God bless you and Marjolein and the young ones, and Sir Samuel, too!! 🙏✝️🛐
An absolutely wonderful concert to watch and listen by two unusually gifted organists who could be musically identical twins born a world apart. The joint performance of the last piece on the one organ was especially spectacular to watch!!!
Greetings from Australia ! Thank you Gert and Michael, for a great time together in music. God bless you both for sharing this with us, and your future praising God.
This concert was an international Entente Cordiale. Dankt, dankt nu allen God, played by two exceptional young organists was a magnificent final Triumph. God has brought them together and made the world a better place in these troubled times.
I must imagine that Michael had a hard time adjusting to this organ's pedal clavier. Being an American, he would have trained on and probably plays organs with the radiating American Guild of Organists pedal T clavier this organ has a flat non-radiating pedal clavier. With music as challenging as this, tiny adjustments must be made on each pedal note. At the speed some of this was played, he must have had to focus on his feet much more than usual. Super job, Michael. Thanks for meeting Gert and playing in his concert.
Great "hands across the sea" concert. Michael "doesn't play the organ as a vocation"? Can't believe that. The Asma duet was powerful enough to make that organ need a rebuild. Hope there will be many more shared programs.
Let’s do this more often! LOL. What a dynamic, inspiring duo. Phenomenal talent and dedication. I loved “Cathedral” and then “Fiat” made the concert more brilliant yet, and then Gigout’s majestic Grand Choer inspires passion beyond understanding. Then Asma’s Dankt! Perfect ending!! What else can we say to the great Divine mystery than “Thanks and Thanks”? You both have helped us transcend our human explanations for the universe, and for universal grace and love Thanks and Thanks! 😁😁
I would love to hear you play some of the choral Preludes by Bach. My favorite is Christ Lag in Todesbanden. Thanks. I am richly blessed by your music. Blessings on you do.
Thank you both for this thrilling and entertaining concert! I especially like min1:20:30, somewhat emotional from both sides. Bravo, and keep up the good work! Best regards from Munich 🇩🇪
Gert - I have a friend and his wife Rachel, I've known Michael Kearney since he was an undergraduate at Geneva college and recently met his wife Rachel. Just a FYI. I just wanted to let you know that I enjoy your joint concerts. Come to America sometime for a visit.
I've been listening to your concerts for about a year, but today was the first I learned that the "G" in your name is apparently pronounced like "H". And I now realize that I still don't know how to pronounce your surname. Perhaps in each "welcome to today's concert" remarks you could say your name. Best wishes to you and your family!
It's both! In 1974 the organ builder H.J. Vierdag deliverd the current organ. The very first organ was placed in 1866 by Van Oeckelen. The case of this organ served as an example for the contemporary instrument. This resulted in an organ front in the Northern Netherlandish style, which has a late eighteenth-century appearance. A large part of the pipework comes from the organ of the former Wilhelminakerk in Rotterdam, built in 1900 by D.G. Steenkuyl. As a result, new pipes (in matching invoice) were needed for only a few stops. However, the front pipes were replaced by new ones. For example, Vierdag built an organ with a baroque disposition with pipe material by the romanticist Steenkuyl. One could call the present-day organ the Steenkuyl-Vierdag organ.
