About Mark J. Golding:
I am a proud Jamaican, a son of the soil and a dedicated member of the People’s National Party. My parents were champions in giving back to Jamaica especially in the disabilities community and I continue the family legacy through my own advocacy for disenfranchised persons and persons with disabilities. I am committed to using the law to protect rather than oppress people, as evidenced by my legislative performance. I have a record of strong leadership in my constituency and I am proud to serve as Leader of The Opposition and President of the People’s National Party.
Our common purpose must be the creation of a 21st century Jamaica that exemplifies and upholds the progressive principles of social justice and equality for all Jamaicans. This is the foundational purpose of the Party and its socialist roots. There is much more work to be done to eliminate the remaining structural inequalities within Jamaican society. To achieve this, we must live and promote the values of self-discipline, civic responsibility, and caring for and respecting others.

It’s a very good point to note that Prime Minister Andrew Holness must step aside to allow for the FID to carry out their investigations, due to fear of the PM having some level of interference with or influence on the person appointed to oversee an investigation on him. It’s crazy scary. He needs to step aside. It should not have to come to this. This is grounds for him to step aside. Otherwise, how can we have confidence in the results ⁉️

Because if proper and unbiased investigations are conducted, both parties are corrupt. It is just the reality of Jamaica.
There is a terrible cloud over this administration, at home and abroad. This needs to be fixed.
This is partisan politics at its best. For this reason, it won't be fixed.

Very good exercise. Now if u can keep one of those every week on different sections of Jamaican life... 1⃣ the economy 2⃣ national security 3⃣ agriculture 4⃣ social services and so on, breaking down each in a similar manner as you have done today so every Jamaican can understand the history of PNP policies, the strategy you intend to apply in the future, how the current government policies are executed and what the next PNP government will do differently. If you do that, l submit that you will give yourself another advantage leading up to the next general elections.

All prospects seeking to participate in representational politics need now to know that it is a requirement to have your finances verified. Simple.

This situation amongst alot of irregularities have been seen under this government , what are the measures that you have put in place in your manifesto to make sure this criminal behaviour will not happen and that there will be Accountability among your party ministers/members so that people will be held and penalised under the laws of this country ?

Another thing! Why are the properties,lands in particular, that are controlled by the UDC, so expensive? Hence creating a barrier for average citizens to purchase,which translate into wealth. Is it that Mr Brown and partners deliberately inflate these prices,so that they can use their offices to purchase them, for their own interests? Are we looking at illicit enrichment? Are we looking at conflict of interest? Where are the assets of the companies owned by these people? What the hell is going on?

The independence of a body like the F.I.D. from political interference is imperative if corruption is to be eliminated or minimized in Jamaica. Will the PNP ensure this independence from political interference when it forms the next government?
