The dives we have been on average anywhere from 40 to 105 feet deep. So far, the dives around West Bay and West End usually average around 60 feet deep. The reef here is very pretty with many swim throughs. Roatan is a great place!
My favorite beach! Love the water! Best Coconut shrimp you are right! You need to eat at the local place (blue place) down the alley way on your left from the beach!!
We traveled to Roatan in June and the weather was great. The rainy season is Ocotober-January so you should be fine. Let us know if you go, you will love it. Thanks for watching!
I'm enjoying your videos! I am headed to Roatan in 2 weeks on a 6 day dive trip. Did you have trouble with mosquitos? I also watched you videos about restaurants. Are they all safe as far as water contamination is concerned? Any problems with food borne illness? TIA!
You will have such an amazing time in Roatan! Some people have trouble with the mosquitos (or no-see-ums) and some don't. My wife battled them all month and I did not get a single bite! Some people say tea tree oil is the best repellant. Here is a link to some information that might be helpful for you. www.roatanet.com/deal-with-tropical-bugs/ We had no issues for the entire month with water contamination or food borne illness and we ate local all the time. Try the Pork and Pickles pizza. Seafood: Beachers on West Bay. They have a lobster special on Monday (Three tails for under $20) and their coconut shrimp is the best! (Beachers also has a location on West End but we have not eaten there) Great Chicken at Creole Chicken and Anthony's Chicken both on the West End. There are several more places that people have recommended that we plan to try! Thanks for watching!

We stayed at SeaScape which is in between West Bay and the West End. It sits on the hills overlooking the Caribbean. We really enjoyed it! You can find them on VRBO. We don't have any first hand experiences of an all inclusive hotel. Thanks so much for watching!
Las Rocas is sweet place with onsite restaurant & regular room deals. awesome sopa de carocol & good fish 🐠 & pretty beach property. Dive Master Alex is a local & fun, does night dives 💯 Y’all need to learn to roll your rr’s to pronounce Roatan properly, ask a local to teach you, ask Honduran.
We did not have an international driver's license but we rented a car from a local. So I don't know if a company would require one. To the best of my knowledge Honduras does not require it. Thanks for watching and enjoy Roatan!
