first time i left my seat over a wipeout since jay moriarity...that was a heavy send nate...maybe the heaviest since jay's wave. we all know you will slay that dragon one day soon...stay healthy and keep pushing the envelope. the barrel you pulled was masterful...it took all the skill, timing, and balls to get under that lip instead of smashed by it. one of the best ridden waves at jaws ever.
albee's wave was even cleaner...several amazing rides by everyone out that day.

We have twelve pairs of ribs. They all connect to our spine. Each connection is a joint. Ten of the twelve pairs of ribs are lined with cartilage. When we pop our knuckles it's a release of synovial or joint fluid. Think of the pops you heard/felt in your back as core rib joints being stressed or adjusted. When you want to pop any joint, (Knee, elbow, wrist, back, neck, etc..) always back away from any pain. Our joints are naturally designed to pop as a release of synovial fluid. Get on that Arnica Montana, it's my best advice! Also get a velcro compression wrap/brace for your ribs/thorax out of the water, and alternate between cold and warm packs on the sensitive area. Heal well, Nathan! Really appreciate your dedication, grit and determination! 💯💯

dang nate. i can't believe that im watching this insane heavy wipeout, which looked so brutal, and was concerning before knowing anything, and then to learn thats the one you broke your back on. watching you take that second wave on the head after the fall on that massive wave, and to see how dragged back you were, and watching your board look so small put scale and unfathomable power into perspective. so heavy. glad you survived as you did, and recuperated as you have. and its amazing that you have rebounded back into the heavy and insane sessions that you have. total guts. proud of you :)
