Hey boo! I'm curious and I looked up "how to run a non-profit". SO overjoyed to see you on the list that came up! I'll check this out when I have a minute. Love you!!! Hope all is well.
Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge! I have got a lot of questions but one of which is that I wonder should I be budgeting something that's not only just to get the organization started but a budget that will be able to sustain itself further along the road and present that to the potential long term sponsors? Include something like an R & D team & outreach effort etc?
Hi Hillian! You should definitely have more than one type of budget for different purposes (Program vs Organization, Actual vs. Projected, etc.). I'd be more than happy to discuss it in more detail with you. You can use this link to schedule a time to talk: nonprofitvisionary.as.me/initialnpvconsultation. I hope to hear from you!

Hi Mrs.Shalita O'Neale, I have enjoyed your video on Non-Profit-Creating a Realistic Budget, however; I could not find the forms that you mentioned about "tweeting" could you direct me into the right direction. We are new at this/learning.
Hi Jennifer! Please forgive the late response, I've fallen behind a bit on my follow up. I have a couple of free templates in the Nonprofit Visionary Academy Facebook group (facebook.com/groups/nonprofitvisionaryacademy/) and even more templates available to #NONPROFITNOFILTER Members. You can join via my website: www.shalitaoneale.com/become-a-nonprofitnofilter-member. Thank you for watching!
Hello, Shalita. I am a current student of City Vision University. I found your video very helpful. May I have your website as I am planning an nonprofit organization to help the homeless friends in Skid Row, Los Angeles. We have a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization - Jesus Knows My Name Ministry to share the Gospel since 2014. We are planning to have a Christian Community -Vision Possible. Do we need to apply another 501(c)3.
Thanks for watching Jennifer and for giving back to your community in the way you've chosen. You may not have to start a new 501c3; you may need to just revamp your current organization, with the guidance of your Board Members, to include your new mission, if it is not mission creep. I hope you can make it to the Virtual Visionaries of Color Nonprofit Summit I'm hosting this Saturday, November 7th, 9AM-4:45PM. The purpose of the VOC Nonprofit Summit is to educate and equip Nonprofit Visionaries of color across the country to launch and grow successful organizations while healing themselves and their communities. The information and wisdom the Nonprofit Elders, Funders and Experts have to offer may be beneficial to you as you think your nonprofit vision through. Register and see who is speaking at www.thevocsummit.com. Use code: NPV for $10 off tickets. I hope you can make it!

The 1023EZ is the form that costs less. The fee recently dropped to $275 from $400 and the projected income limit is $50,000 per year (not $10,000).
Thank you so much this helped me so much
Thank you very much for the correction! I will update in the description.
