Your videos have had the most influence on my painting. If I had to sum it up in one word it would be permission. I have realized that it doesn't have to be realistic, it doesn't have to be straight or proportional or the right color and I am enjoying painting so much more.
Cindy, I really enjoyed reading your comment so much - THANK YOU! It's sooooo helpful for me to hear this kind of feedback. It means so much that that's what you've gotten from this platform - permission! yes!!!!
I can relate to what you're saying about permission, however for me, it's like someone letting me into the art room. I didn't feel good enough to walk in, but Sandi just made me feel welcome with wide arms. Feels so good to join in. Thank you, Miss Sandi!
@@wilmamccoul Well goodness Wilma - I'm so happy to hear that you feel welcome - yes, come on in and do some art! It doesn't have to be good, it doesn't have to sell, it can be just for the sake of creating!
I have to agree, even though I think I've given myself permission to play with abstract things I haven't allowed myself to play with realism cuz I think people will think it's not good enough. I just posted a wonky ( oil pastel on black paper) portrait of a friend and my friends are loving it!! The trick is, the person I chose has to recognize it cuz I'm not revealing who I chose and if not that's cool too. Thanks Sandi for so much!!
I really enjoyed this video. The easel is awesome. As an artist, your videos have helped me to return to what I love. Painting. Love your dog Cooper too! Thanks!⚘
Your new easel is wonderful! Funny how new supplies get our artist motor revived up and feels so good down to out toes! I’m so happy being an artist! You have helped me so much getting through this pandemic and the bad stuff that happened in my life this year. I’m so happy I found your channel. My only regret is I didn’t find it sooner. Thank goodness for wonderful people and artist like you. Fran
I'm so glad these videos could be giving you a little help through this hard year. I'm so sorry there's been more "bad stuff" in this year for you -ugh!
Absolutely LOVED this video, I feel like you are one of my good friends taking me along with you and because we recently moved to the country in Kansas (30 minutes from anything), I need ART FRIENDS!!!! You have no idea the void you have filled for me, not to mention I love your cute personality (plus Cooper and the kitties) and all of your awesome tips!! Keep the videos coming!!
I actually loved the blue and purple first iteration of the painting background because it made me think of snow, but it was great with the cream tone, too!
New subbie..Thank you for the creative inspiration! I recently started reselling vintage hard goods on ebay & etsy & its kind of taken over. & i realized my creative artsy stuff is what ive been missing so much. Life feels so empty if we arent using our talents💕💙
Ohhhhh thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it - that means the world to me! I've gotten ahead on my filming and am trying to get a new one out once a week right now! I'm in a good flow - hope I can keep it up! Thank you so much for watching AND for leaving me an encouraging message.
Sandi Hester When you were sitting behind the box I was going, „open it, open it“ 😂. Love your paintings, love your videos, love your whole thing with the dog and the hubby and the home that you all obviously so enjoy. I am normally very coy about leaving comments but I just thought about how much effort and time you put into these and how soul-destroying it must be if nobody gives you feedback. BTW, I am English but live in Germany and follow a bunch of UK artists - one of whom recently commented on your channel saying how cool and refreshing it was (or words to that effect). Can‘t remember who it was but will let you know if I remember. XXX
@@AuntDahlia1 Can I call you Aunt D??? Aunt D, this was such a timely and encouraging message from you. I've been feeling discouraged lately about how slow my channel has been growing and wondering if I'm putting out as good of content as I felt like I was putting out - just questioning myself and THIS WEEK I have received SO MANY encouraging messages. So THANK YOU for taking your time to encourage me - it really has been so timely!
Sandi Hester Hey Sandi. Almost midnight here and I have an early start tomorrow but will definitely get back to you tomorrow. Will also try to remember who that artist was (Oh Lord, my memory!🤦🏻♀️).
Aww what can I say except your video brought a smile to my face and inspiration to my creative heart! That easel looks so neat! Sending you healing wishes for your foot!
Thank you - you're so sweet!!! Did you make any more stamps this week? I pulled out my watercolors today and painted a BUNCH of figures - tried to stay really loose and had a blast doing it!
@@sandihester No more stamps but I did paint on a pizza box (nothing fancy, just a fun doodle)! Been sitting on the rough cut of that video for a while but I might take another stab at it today!♡
Do you ever have to deal with mosquitos up there? I have a forest behind my yard which I love, but can scarcely enjoy because of the mosquitos (Florida).
Binge watching. I feel this is better than NETFLIX ! Lol.
😂 well, thank you!!!
Love that easel too

The pond has such beautiful colours

I definitely don’t find the birds too purplely and blue and fact I love them.
Thank you!
