Really, If i knew about this show, I would travel to Madrid to see it. I saw the Trio in 1996 and it was truly a fantastic night! Great to see the Paco's family tradition continued with his nephew.
Al, I wanted to thank you for all the great years you have given me through your music. I am 52 but I love the late 70's. I am obsessed with your first 3 albums, absolutely amazing music, thank you I know you did one instructional video but it's so advanced. I beg and plead that you do a masterclass lesson or course. One to really learn how to play from beginner to advanced. You are different from the rest and I really appreciate it. Thank you.
Buahhhhhhh Antonio como una metralleta! Que brutalidad de guitarrista! Buuuahhhh! Brutal! Que gustazo.
Al Di Meola, I wish you a speedy recovery. I heard of your circumstance from Maxwell Carlisle. I first heard your music in the seventies. God can not think so little of the world, to still the passion in thy hand. Therefore, know that you will be fine. Your hands will live to dance again because surely it pleases God. So get plenty of rest and grow strong in preparation to grace the stage yet again, for it lives not, without you. God bless you, Al Di Meola. As your music does, for audiences around the world.
@@firstlast4874 have you met Al? My wife and I have. Totally by chance in the street in Chicago a couple hours before he was performing. He was out shopping on his own. He was as gracious and kind as could be. We chuckled about it later at the pre-show vip event. Anyway, regardless of personal opinions, we should all agree this was a beautiful and epic tribute.
@@rerman6344 I talked to Paco twice and know John. I can tell you that after/during the last Trio album, neither of them enjoyed playing with Al very much nor had any plans to work with him, despite him being a gifted player. Of course, you would not have seen the renowned ego on display while he was out shopping, as I'm sure he is a gracious and worldly guy when you meet him casually. It's kind of like an elite athlete who goes Jeykl-Hyde when they step on a sports field, court or swimming pool, after seeming so gregarious at a social event Yes, the tribute to Paco is long overdue, and hopefully we will be able to see the entire event BTW, for $10K, Al will cook you a meal at his NJ mansion, give you a full tour, etc
You’re all wrong about All. After an amazing show in a smaller venue, I went to see him where he was signing CDs. He was beautifully relate-able. Never spoke down to me, a mon-musician. A wonderful, engaging 1 on 1 conversation he encouraged for perhaps 10 or 15 minutes. A very friendly and warm fellow.
Lovely to see this tribute but Is John playing a guitar from pound land or something? He's is an absolute monster player but what an awful guitar sound that is. 🤔
Sad to say Johns presence there was a bit of a waste of time: hed clearly been dropped in with no chance to learn the chords and what awful guitar did they provide him with?

John Mclaughlin! 80 years! Incredible!
... not 80 yet - but incredible indeed 🤩
One of my favorite songs . Brilliant .
Good old days, thank you for sharing this magical moment that will never be forgotten.
RIP Paco
Thank you for making it happen Mr Meola
Saw these guys play this in Sydney over 40 years ago. A revelation. I wish I could experience being there all over again. Thanks for posting.

You've inspired myself and millions with your amazing talent and music . Blessings to you Sir .
Amazing! An interesting "human" moment at 0:34 :)
How sad, that Paco de Lucia can't play with you again. I had the best concert ever with you three. So I'm very happy about this tribute!!
Grazie.
Thank you so much for your music and your talent!

Excellent. I'm so happy you had this tribute.
Gutted i missed this, what a fantastic tribute. Heres to hoping the three of them tour in honour of Paco one day soon!
Thanks fellas for playing in his honor! Paco was a unique talent.
Quels tempéraments !!👏🙏🧑🎤
Masterpiece!!! Paco is happy right now!!!! Thanks for sharing!! 🙌🙌🙌
Great tribute to one of greatest flamenco players of all time ...
I grow up with this song, i will do a cover for it and i hope you will like it Al, thank you so much for everytime you play it ❤️

Que descanse en Paz Paco!!
Can't stop crying. I am really looking forward to your live show in Japan in October.
I‘m missing the tonal contrast of Al‘s steel strings
I prefer him on nylon
Spectacular!👍
Bravo!!!
R.I.P Paco ! Aldi meola was there too
RIP Paco!
Al plz create some short lesson content like your thoughts on improvising....or about composing

Nice missing Paco…

John doesn't have the speed anymore but I still like his improvisations.
no esta a compas muy mal
Absolutely incredible. And Paco's nephew, wow! Seems like John may have a secret 5db boost on his guitar this time around 🤷🏻
He'd need it, since egomanic Al turns his up to 11
