I'm visiting Nola next week for my first time and City Park is a place I hadnt planned on purchasing any tickets at - what parts exactly can I see or shop/eat at that aren't within a paid area?
Thanks for watching our video and for your comment! You’re going to love visiting New Orleans, and City Park is such a gem-it’s definitely worth adding to your itinerary! 😊 Most of the park is free to explore, so you can enjoy its beauty without spending a dime. Here’s a quick rundown of what you can do without a ticket: Wander through the gorgeous park grounds with those iconic oak trees and beautiful walking paths. Stop by the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden, which is free and located right next to the art museum. Grab a snack at Morning Call Coffee Stand or Café Du Monde (yep, they have one right in the park!). Check out Big Lake-it’s perfect for a stroll, and you might spot paddleboats for rent if you're in the mood. If you’re up for some ticketed attractions, the New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA), the Botanical Garden, and the Carousel Gardens Amusement Park (for kiddos) are all great options. But even if you stick to the free spots, there’s plenty to see, shop, and snack on! Hope this helps, and have an amazing time in NOLA! Let us know if you end up visiting City Park-it’s one of our favorite places. 😊
@@Learningtotravel thank you for the breakdown and quick response! Should I check out Couterie Forest or Scout Island? I imagine those parts are free too?

They are free and nice places to walk if the weather is nice. So if you have the time they can be great places to explore.
