A really awesome festival is the battle of Tewksbury medieval festival its got one of the biggest reenactments in the country and a pageant through the town. The reenactment groups also make he effort to do horse, archery, artillery and sword duelling shows inbetween the big events and has hundreds of tents and stalls selling reenactment gear, beer tents and pop up cafes, authentic medieval musicians, jesters, mummers its very good! plus its actually next to the site of the real battlefield so you can go on the battlefield trail with a little guidebook or pay for a guided walk round the battlefield, and Tewksbury Abbey is one of the most beautiful medieval buildings in the country with so much history! At the end of the weekend you can go to the abbey and the reenactors in the finest 15th C noble garb will put on a raucous show of them dragging Somerset out of the church to be beheaded, its tongue in cheek but spectacular.

T.M.O.Y Tewksbury sound great.ive been involved Viking/saxon 20years but never been to the Tewksbury wknd.plan on going this year though.sounds like you will really get the feeling of medieval life and warfare wandering around all the show with a horn of ale/mead in hand.

I don't know if they cancelled the main battle, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did. I would love sword and axe lessons :)
I love Lagertha, that's actually my Viking name :) when I've been a viking in the past. Aye I was happy with that buy, just need to invest in material to make myself a tunic and trousers and I'll be set, well a side from other accessories such as shoes but all in good time :)

    Wuaw! That’s look incredible good!
On my city and the area we have a medieval winter time on winter vacation (July) and it’s a mix of medieval fights, games, inspired drinks and food, some Vikings stuff. I’m part of the medieval fight group since august 2020.
Wich Vikings réplicas would you love to have?
