Lol, dude, these are hands down the best shoes I've ever tried! I've been through many pairs, and these have the best heel lock, are super breathable, and perfect for those with high arches and wide feet. If you're size 14+, these are the shoes for you. No joke, I'm on my third pair, and I still can't get enough of them!
Hair is looking great! This is spot on. I'm 6 ft 8, 240 lbs and I always get at least 1 Giannis shoe bc it is my daughter's favorite player. Even at my size they feel really good for 4 or 5 games and then they already start to bottom out. Much more comfortable than the Freak 5s for me. At the price, if you can get 10 or 15 games in a rec league out of them at a lower weight than me, they are a really good value.
I just tried them on, went half size up, but didn't buy them cause my feet are mid-wide and found the triangular toe section too unforgiving. I thought I might take them to a shoe guy to widen the top, but then the paper-like material might snap...what do you think? Should I just tolerate my big toe being kinda pushed inward?
Glad you're finally gonna do some retro basketball shoes from Nike (yes I actually watch the end of the video, which is a cherry on top to your already great videos). Hoping that you continue doing this in the future along with retro basketball shoes of other companies as well. Some retros from Nike that I think you should review are the soon-to-be-dropping KD 3 Christmas retro due to its different material & midsole construction, the Jordan 12 with the stiff sole and the rugged nature of the shoe, the Jordan 13 with its medial and lateral flanges that produce great pushoff force, and some then-basketball but now lifestyle shoes like the Air Force 1s, Nike Blazers, and Air Jordan 4s similar to what you did with the Crazy IIInfinitys. I noticed that some people hoop in whatever shoes they have because they feel like doing it or maybe because they cannot afford a lot of shoes so it would be amazing to provide insights about that even though it will have a lot of implications. I get that this is a lot to take in (I apologize in advance) but your audience looks to learn something new every video so if those recommendations are viable, then so be it. Anyways, keep up with these great videos.
This is one of the best BB shoes I’ve used so far. At first, I slid like 3 times but after the break-in, the traction does it job well. No more sliding and my lateral movement is much better plus using Game Day Pro insole, I’m super happy with the performance of this shoe. The lace lock is underrated. I hope all BB shoes will have it in the future. Definitely will buy another pair.
How would you say the traction would hold up if I played with these outdoors. I’m thinking of getting them for this summer. I play on the road so the “court” is very rough. Thank you for the review!
Well I bought them today and personally had no problem I feel that they hold your foot pretty well and they are really good overall. I switched from some Kyrie shoe I forgot the name of the model ,to these ones and personally I like these one little bit better.
Hey Zach, love the vids! I was wondering if you can get your hands on a pair of serious player1 plus? I want to get them but I would love to know what you'd have to say about them.
Hi Doc Zack or co-shoe finder. I'm on a tight budget and starting to play ball again. I'm thinking immortality 3 or precision 6. What do you recommend?
I tried going up a full size because I really wanted these shoes but even still just pain and rubbing. Had to return them. Do not even look at these if you have even 2E feet
The immortality unless you throw a orthotic in the trey x also be care with the heel very terrible containment and you can hurt your Achilles (very common injury in the trey ix and especially the X)
What do I need from my shoe if I feel 5th metatarsal pain after playing some volleyball? I play with Dame 8, so it isn’t the width. Maybe I need some extra support?
Zach, you are a wide footer too, right? Can we get a basketball shoe with a super wide toe box that's shaped to fit around our toes - like a minimalist shoe - so it won't squeeze our toes together? Heel to toe drop might be fine. But look at Lebron's and Embiid's feet, full of bunions and with toes bent from wearing tight shoes. That's what we don't want Zach. Like who on earth does? There must be a market for that.
Those guys have custom lasts and their foot shape and conditions are hereditary - there’s no shoes like that for basketball because it’s not the most efficient design for basketball like it is for walking - I’m sure someone will try it soon but my guess is in large part people are going to want the efficiency of a traditional basketball last - I have a wide foot and most basketball shoes are fine for me but I agree a shoe easier for bunions and tailors bunions would be nice - NB 4E usually does the trick though
Hey Zach, i have been watching you for a while and i have a few suggestions for your rating system. First, impact protection (or "shock absorption") and bounce are not contradictory to each other. If you drop an egg on the ground it doesn't bounce at all but obviously it doesn't mean the shock is absorbed. Sometimes i think "sound" of the impact is a better indicator. Second, you should evaluate torsion support more thoroughly. You didn't do this for AR 1 and that's why you gave an unreasonably high score to that shoe. AR 1 bend exactly at the midfoot area(the foot arch area)if you compress it. This should never ever happen to basketball shoes. Third, the so-called speed ratio doesn't really measure "speed" of shoes. Let's say some shoes like WOW 10 have carbon fiber plates in their midsole which obviously make players run faster Forth, court feel, which i think you never talked about Fifth, traction should be an independent category, all ballers know traction is the most important factor for enchancing performance Hope this helps.
Dang, you seem like you know a lot about basketball shoes. I'm planning to buy a basketball shoe and I want a shoe just under $100 do you know what I should get? I want a shoe that has good traction so I don't slip and is a shoe that doesn't sweat too much. Also if it has some ankle or some type of support so I don't get injured. That's pretty much a good basketball shoe right? Well I was wondering if you knew any good basketball shoes I could get that are like that? Thanks

When you say “highest grit sandpaper”, do you mean the most coarse or the most fine? Usually high grit numbers mean finer sandpaper.
My eyes widened when i saw you cutting that shoe in half😢

I FCKIN LOVE YOUR SHIRT, DOC!
hey do you think the move game day insoles will help with the cusion?

I tried going up a full size because I really wanted these shoes but even still just pain and rubbing. Had to return them. Do not even look at these if you have even 2E feet
Can this be used for running/jogging?
Nope
Absolutely not, get some real running shoes. Clifton 9's are my favorite.

Can it work for road running??
please do the all pro nitros🙏🙏🙏
what would you say is better, Giannis immortality 3 or KD trey 5 x, in terms of how long they last and comfortability.
Def the immo trey 5 x is good but the durability is very bad
The immortality unless you throw a orthotic in the trey x also be care with the heel very terrible containment and you can hurt your Achilles (very common injury in the trey ix and especially the X)
can I use them for casual runs? because im trying to get a shoe that i can use for all sorts of sports
What shoe did you go with?
Bro Adidas don issue 4 or Nike Men's Giannis Immortality 3 Basketball Shoes better
What do I need from my shoe if I feel 5th metatarsal pain after playing some volleyball?
I play with Dame 8, so it isn’t the width. Maybe I need some extra support?
I’d see your local doc- it could be a few different things that would get fleshed out with an exam
Can you do the Nike Blazer Pro Club? Those have great materials.
