Joakim is more than a singer. Its taken me a long time to figure out how to express it, and I'm sure I'm not the first. He's a story teller, like folk singers of a generation ago, or bards of old. I don't think the song is about war and battles as you know it from Sabaton. I understand the lyrics so that it is about how much society is divided. That society can be controlled and does not rise up against injustice and oppression. Formulated in an exaggerated manner, I see in the text a call for resistance to evil and injustice in this world. I've got to say, I love the combination of the Cellos (Sorry if they aren't cellos. I don't know instruments very well) and Joakim singing makes this the single best crossover song I've ever heard.
I'm grateful to Sabaton (that I'm a big fan of) that they "introduced" me to Apocalyptica. Now I'm also a fan of Apocalyptica 😊. Love that they have different vocalists to their songs. Had the pleasure of seeing them on Sabaton's European tour.
What I love about this song’s lyrics is the fact that they could be about so many situations. It could be political, emotional, war, relationships. It is an amazing song with amazing lyrics!
@@comradesam3382 I actually just know their own versions, no collaborations. But I saw them do Fields of Verdun together on the European Tour in February, so yes... This is great. Everything they collaborate on turns out to be a masterpiece in my opinion. Just look at the re-mastered version of Angels Calling. I liked the old one, but the new one is just... pure perfection? 🙈
@@comradesam3382 correct me if I am wrong I don't think they collaborated on Fields of Verdun I think Apocalyptica did a remake of it, either way it's a killer song
I though Joakim couldn't get any cooler after 'Bismark.' How wrong I was. Joakim is the ultimate metal singer of our times. The metal singer for all people. Gravelly voice suits the metal style, but not too much like the grunt singers, and not too little like pop singers. He has that perfect 'power' voice, that somehow seems to go with smooth things like violins too. He's a gift.
I really love the overtones added in the intros to the chorus to give Joakim's voice the necessary harmonies while still retaining the guttural qualities of what he does best. It also hold's very true to the nature of Sabaton's music, being a battle or war. In this case our war on our destruction on our own planet.
Director: Right guys you've got Joakim Broden with you here? Apocalyptica: Yes Director: Nice. Joakim; want the music video to be badass? Joakim: Yes Director: how badass? Joakim: Yes
This is a new side of joakim that I like. It just sounds so beautiful. This song fits so well. I was going to say this was about what was happening to our world and I agree with it. We follow our leaders blindly, just listen "if we wanted the truth we wouldn't buy the lies". It makes so much sense.
I've listened this a hundreds Times now and i have to say that joakims voice is just perfekt for this song, his deep grasp gives something special to it and make the topic Sound as dark as it is and the orcestration by apocalyptica is just on point. i love Joakim's accent when he sings.
By the Emperor...
This is bloody magnificent! Having listened to a few of Apocolyptica's songs plus many of Sabaton's, this is a collab I friggin love! 10/10 in my eyes!
I've got to say, I love the combination of the Cellos (Sorry if they aren't cellos. I don't know instruments very well) and Joakim singing makes this the single best crossover song I've ever heard.
Metal, cellos, and Joakim. This may be the most perfect music video EVER! 🤘😁🍺
Outstanding!!! Saw the VLOG where Joakim and Apocalyptica shot the video, turned out as AWESOME as it looked.
Apocalyptica: "Hey Joakim. Wanna sing for us on our new track?"
Joakim: "Sure, as long as you buy me an APC as tanks... err thanks!"
😁
M.D.Metal *tanks
He wears half an APC during performances already.
Joakim is just a few metal plates away from being a full on cyborg.
The fanbase needs MOAR!!!!! we love you, Sabaton and Amaranthe
This is a realy good song. I just love the chemistry between Apocalyptica and Sabaton! Keep it up
Apocalyptica with Joakim singer, Perfection!
The reason why Joakim's voice is so potent is because of his ability to tell stories so fantastically, but holy shit is this wonderful
A fine addition to my collection. Sadly this songs wasn’t released yet when you played in Munich. Awesome show btw
Extremely true the lyrics are applicable now
I'm grateful to Sabaton (that I'm a big fan of) that they "introduced" me to Apocalyptica. Now I'm also a fan of Apocalyptica 😊. Love that they have different vocalists to their songs. Had the pleasure of seeing them on Sabaton's European tour.
Thank you. You were the one to introduce me to my daughter's name Ruska 😊
Love you ❤
Joakim is a Musical Poet
You could let this man sing the words of a telephone book and it would be worth listening to. This voice!!!!!
No one can match the power in Joakim's voice
Oh my gosh! I couldn't even imagine that such duete will ever exist! 😱
What I love about this song’s lyrics is the fact that they could be about so many situations. It could be political, emotional, war, relationships. It is an amazing song with amazing lyrics!
Apocalyptica+Sabaton+the HU= perfection^3
they should do like a 20 minute tribute song together
In my wildest dreams, I fantasize of a collab between Joakim Broden and Hansi Kursch.
This was epic. We definitely need much more of this!
I m from from finland and im very proud of apocalyptica:)
I swear this guy is featured in every other song I come across doing vocals .... and I’m cool with that
I see the band, I see the singer, I smash the like before 1 complete second!
I absolutely love this! This song gives me goosebumps! 🖤
... and I'm definitely hoping for more collaborations of Apocalyptica and Sabaton.
Try fields of verdun, they colaborated on one version
@@comradesam3382 I actually just know their own versions, no collaborations. But I saw them do Fields of Verdun together on the European Tour in February, so yes... This is great. Everything they collaborate on turns out to be a masterpiece in my opinion. Just look at the re-mastered version of Angels Calling. I liked the old one, but the new one is just... pure perfection? 🙈
Don't forget Angel's Calling my favorite right after this one
@@comradesam3382 correct me if I am wrong I don't think they collaborated on Fields of Verdun I think Apocalyptica did a remake of it, either way it's a killer song
@@kimberlycosta5005 yes that's what I thought too... Apocalyptica even released their version before Sabaton even released the original I think.
Esta llena de mucha energía esta canción! hace unos días la escuche y ahora es una de mis favoritas, saludos desde Venezuela!!
Sabaton and Apocalyptica are a great combination. I loved what they did on the tour.
I honestly cant stop hitting replay
I really love the overtones added in the intros to the chorus to give Joakim's voice the necessary harmonies while still retaining the guttural qualities of what he does best. It also hold's very true to the nature of Sabaton's music, being a battle or war. In this case our war on our destruction on our own planet.
I could here Joakim Voice over hours 😌 🙏
But it's special to see him with other musician's 🤔👍
This is what perfection sounds like.
30% Bond intro song, 30% Eurovision song contest and 40% Sabaton/Apocalyptica
this song just popped up on my spotify and i am like... hey this is Joakim and this is Awesome!
Director: Right guys you've got Joakim Broden with you here?
Apocalyptica: Yes
Director: Nice. Joakim; want the music video to be badass?
Joakim: Yes
Director: how badass?
Joakim: Yes
так круто, когда две любимых группы вдруг собрались сделать что-то вместе!
This is a new side of joakim that I like. It just sounds so beautiful. This song fits so well.
I was going to say this was about what was happening to our world and I agree with it. We follow our leaders blindly, just listen "if we wanted the truth we wouldn't buy the lies". It makes so much sense.
And all this fire was recorded on a small bonfire on the table 😂 It's amazing 😍
"Crying out for desperate measures
For a vengeance that will carry on forever
But the king will never pay for his crimes"
God, that hurts.
Wow. The chorus of this song got my spine shivering. What a great song, and what an awsome collaboration. You guys never fail to surprise me.
Thank you for all those goosebumps Joakim!!!
Tremenda voz, el vocalista de Sabaton.
I thought working with Sabaton on Angels calling was awesome but THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe the best collaboration there will ever be.
Je découvre. C'est excellent 👍 JOAKIM est génial.❤️🤘
I've listened this a hundreds Times now and i have to say that joakims voice is just perfekt for this song, his deep grasp gives something special to it and make the topic Sound as dark as it is and the orcestration by apocalyptica is just on point. Just a perfekt Song. Not that i espected something Else from this joint effort
