    Question. At 4:48 after queen capture on d5 wouldn't Knight on f2 to h3 have delivered checkmate in 1 given King is checked by both Knight and Bishop on c5 forcing King to h1 with rook e8 capturing rook on e1 checkmate???

    In the last variation, after d4 and as you recommended exd4, what if white doesn't recapture with knight but instead plays knight to g5. That game looks losing for black?

    • @ChessSensei
      @ChessSensei  6 месяцев назад

      No white is not going to f7 because you go Ne5 to hit the bishop on c4 and defend the f7 square white has a small advantage after B takes g8 R takes g8 and Qtakes d4

  • @prplt
    @prplt 5 месяцев назад

    the Ke7 line is actually completely fine for black, it looks bad but white's attack just runs into nothing if you defend properly
    btw most players under 1500 aren't even aware about Qh5, I've recently started to play d5 instead of Nf6 first and so far everyone just moves the bishop 😂

    Black is practically lost after 4.d4! exd4?! 5.e5!, which you fail to mention/analyse.
    4...fxe4 5.Nxe5 d5 6.Bb5 Qd6 7.c4! is miserable as well.

    • @ChessSensei
      @ChessSensei  6 месяцев назад

      Thank you for your nice comment but black is not practically losing after 5.e5 Be7 6.O-O d5 7.exd6 Qxd6 8.Re1 Nf6 9.c3 Bd7 black is slightly worse but it's a playable position and both sides got their chances
      7.c4 a6
      This is not a miserable position for black this is a slight plus for white if we think about it positionaly and I as mentioned this openings can't be analyzed or prepared with engine because no human will convert a +1 advantage and all openings got their pros and cons for example in Kings indian defense samich variation with e5 Nc6 and d5 from white included the engine always gives white +1.5 that doesn't mean that the opening is bad it's just a style of play that every chess player prefers 🙂❤️

      @@ChessSensei Why 7.exd6? The e5 pawn is a bone in Black's throat, he has severe problems developing.
      7.Bb5 is much, much better. I cannot see how Black can get a playable position.
      4...fxe4 is a must, and after 5.Nxe5 d5 6.Bb5 Qd6 7.c4 a6 8.Bxc6+ bxc6 9.0-0 white has a simple developing lan Nc3, Bf4 etc, and Black stands very passively.
      Recently ICCF SIM Jonathan A. Tait published an 1.e4 e5 Black repertoire (named "A Disreputable Opening Repertoire") where he plays as Black ...f5 whenever possible/interesting. He has left out the Rousseau, simply because it's not a good way to play.
