I just received it yesterday. Love em for the price. Looks the best among competitors. And i personally lower bass when playing games because its to much for me. If you put the bass up, trust me u will get enuff boom when playing games. Or music for that matter but it is a 2.0 system so..
Hello folks. I just got a pair of these and they are simply, just a cheap set of speakers, and for 100 bucks, I don't think there is anything remarkable. The sound is fine, the bass is nothing like these reviews all talk about, and they Totaly distort at mildly high volume. They are just under powered, which is fine for the price. If you're looking for computer speakers, I'd recommend almost any 2.1 set, and if just for say a bedroom, they'd be fine if you don't want to really rock them. I'm not trying to slag them, it's about the reviewers, these aren't some spectacular miracle set of budget speakers. They're pretty average in my opinion. Spend a little more and get a logitech z625, you'll feel the sound with them.
Amazone- Product Is NOT RETURNABLE .Sound Quality Not up-to LEVEL & Local cables 26 June 2019 Verified Purchase This bookshelf is Ok , and more importantly its not a studio monitor and quality wise also not up-to mark. Comparing to other brand its not even nearer to them. Also bass is were tight and not crisp voice clarity exists. Voice scattering is there in an small amount. Even though, the product is mentioned as returnable, but now the amazon is not willing to return the product.I would strongly suggest you to avoid product of Edifier.
I am on a tight budget with space limitations. I just starting in the world of turntables. I ordered a set of these with a U-Turn Orbit Basic turntable. I have a small record collection that I've been adding to slowly for years. I had a cheap 80's player for a few years but it really wasn't very good. It was given to my by a friend. It was more something to start out on. I am pretty excited to spin some vinyl once the turntable and speakers arrive in the next few days.
i wanted to buy either this on soundbar because i wanted speakers only for tv and movies ,so ended up buying soundbar 2.1 with majority saying that is better choice for movies
You don't need a receiver for these powered speakers, but can you connect to one if you wanted? I'm a little bit confused because I have these speakers connected to phono, and I have a subwoofer playing as well but they are connected to the Edifiers via RCA cables. I don't know how else to set this up, but all speakers play from my record player. Just want to know can i add a receiver so i can control both sets of volume simultaneously? I was told that powered speakers cannot mix with a receiver.
I've been using these for almost 2yrs now. I use them for my TV in the office and works perfectly. These aren't for audio files though, so look to spend a little more than $100 if you want quality. Just a little info in the functionality... You can use both output channels at the same time. Secondly, there is no indicator volume when you manually lower and increase the volume. The volume lever resets when you unplug the power to it. Ultimately, it a really nice set of speakers when in the office, especially if you have control of the mids, highs, and lows from your TV.
I've mentioned to him before to get some binaural microphones. Clavinet Junkie does this and has great speaker reviews which is all he covers. They are not that expensive either.
Thanks. I just went to Clavinet Junkie and listened to a review. Glad he told me to put on the headphones. You can really hear the differences in the speakers, and I like the frequency charts.
@@alfredbrown7608 You can only with the left speaker because it outputs speaker wire. And there is no optical output (toslink) or speaker wire input on the main speaker (built-in amp) however you can buy them as nearfielf speakers the only difference is that you get two "sattelittes" and just plug with regular speaker wire to you're A/V Receiver. And btw I have a 7.1 Klipsch with a Denon AVR-X8500H just for movies and casual stuff pretty big room xD However when I play the guitar say with guitar rig or produce music it's kind of better to use a 2.0 system since there's not too much frequences mixing up you're stuff. So imo 2.0 pretty good with these ones for the price point but a big no no for a hi-fi scenario. Hope it was helpful. P.S If you're looking for smth on a budget you can just buy prefabs mdf boxes and build your own speakers subs with dayton stuff and AVR or dedicated amps.

They look pretty good for $99. You can't go wrong with an Amazon best seller.
Chinese based company? I don't support Dictatorships if I can help it...
If you really felt that way, you would not have a computer to type that comment

Looking for some speakers for my PVM... Of course Lon has somehow reviewed these 3 years ago. Lon reviews everything!

how do you make it so it remembers the volume you set the speakers at? every time you turn them off to save energy it resets
Are they good for watching movies/regular tv ? I mean... the sound is not muffled or too much bass/noise ?
what should I set the bass and treble positions in R1280t? Is there any combination that works for all the genres?
Can you add a sub after?
Can I hook them up to a Sonos amp ?
Can these be connected to an amplifier to get the better sound?
This speaker you can connect bluetooth with bluetooth receiver,i tested sound this good better then wired cable, connect with aux in

youre so energetic.. speed talk
It is still working year2019. Appreciate for your reply
How about a sound test? You must have some decent microphones you could use.
See here: lon.tv/noaudiotest
I agree with Barry. Just crank them up for us to get a feel for how loud they get before distorting. Maybe see if you can get the monitor to shake;-)

Sound tests are "ridiculous af" lol.
do you think they would work well for home music recording
You'll probably want to spend a little more for a nice pair of monitors.
This is Bluetooth speaker or not?
No
@@daniele7621 but the new edifier is a Bluetooth connection
@@buciritchan5401 I honestly just found that out yesterday, I may have to switch to the newer model
@@daniele7621 yes sir the new model of edifier is Bluetooth connected
Can this be connected to a record player please ?
yes
Honestly just go and buy some decent STUDIO MONITOR speakers for the SAME PRICE as crap consumer range budget POS junkware and youll have better sound
Do you have some names and types i can watch out for? searching for a few speakers and try to avoid speakers sets for PC like logitech and creative.
