Salvation is by Jesus alone, his blood sacrifice on the cross, and atonement, available to all mankind, when they believe. Each man, woman, and girl and boy, at the age of accountability, must take responsibility, after hearing the world and being convicted by the holy spirit, to accept it or reject it, and God has given all man that basic ability, to humble themselves, through his grace, and soul conscious creation in mankind, and accept Jesus Christ as savior, to break spiritual deadness, because he is the way, truth and the life. Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

Jesus was from the tribe of Judah. Herod was from the tribe of Edom. The king of Israel cannot be from any other tribe except Judah. So when Jesus was being crucified he was actually the correct king lineagee wise. That wasn't an accident.
The notion that the apostles shaped the genealogies to "fit" the intended audience is another way to imply that the apostles lied. It's a shame that RC Sproul is so authoritatively wrong on several points. I had high hopes for his teaching since he has such a good spirit. But I thank God for YourTuber NathanH83 and his videos "The two Genealogies of Jesus: According to Eusibius" and "The Curse of Jeconiah" Those two videos provide a more biblical and God glorifying answer to the mystery of the dual Genealogies of Jesus.
NathanH83 hits it out of the ballpark with "The Curse of Jeconiah", but he failed with "The two Genealogies of Jesus: According to Eusibius" Two very simple/easy adjustments to scriptural interpretation can remove all the convoluted theories and assumptions which have stirred mass confusion into these genealogies. One: there are TWO Jeconiahs! Two: Matthew 1:16 has a scribal error, and should read “Joseph FATHER of Mary”! These two give a non-cursed royal lineage to Mary, Joseph, and Jesus.
There ARE alternate ancient manuscripts which have Matthew 1:16 reading “Joseph FATHER of Mary”. Correcting to “Joseph FATHER”, completes the name list to 42, as Matthew states in verse 17. The Matthew 1:11 Jeconiah IS the son of Josiah. This Jeconiah is the 2nd name for Johanan firstborn son of Josiah. The 1 Chron 3:15 Jeconiah son of Jehoiakim is the nephew of the other (Matt 1:11). This Jeconiah is the one who is cursed. Matthew did not error at 1:11. Secular scholars have browbeaten us Christians for 2000 years into thinking Matthew dropped Jehoiakim. And we have beaten ourselves up with a multitude of conflicted theories to their amusement. Mary is NOT a Levite. Elizabeth being old and barren is Mary's great or great-great Aunt or 2nd/3rd cousin removed. Merely a relative, not a close cousin. Mary’s marriage to her HUSBAND Joseph transfers her royalty to him and Jesus per Numbers 36. All the Levirate theories execute the process all wrong. They are flawed and don’t work! It’s going to be hard for all we Christians to swallow some pride and discard the huge mess we have been coerced into these last 2000 years. Bottom line, Matthew 1 is Mary's royal lineage and it’s NOT cursed. Jesus qualifies!
Why did GOD allow all this violence, hate, murderous and vile behavior, which cause so much pain hurt, and dispair to occur, KNOWING that this was all going to happen?
You should ask why HE allows you to even question His sovereignty. That’s the fascinating thing , that HE allows worms like us to even judge Him. He could’ve crushed like a bug, yet Because of His grace , He permits you to even criticize Him
A star shines brightly because of the darkness that surrounds it. Without such evil, how could we possibly see such good? How would we see the light shown by the love some have for others? Without evil there would be no Mother Teresa's. Our world pays a high price for the free will God has given.
This philosophical question has been answered many times. The goal of God is to have the most people freely come to God, allowing violence may be absolutely necessary to achieve that. Or he could have another reason beyond our comprehension. Either way, God gave people freedom, and it’s people who do evil.
@@apoocumber4164 yes it us, i know. would you have ceated all these real, feeling people, knowing that most of them would go to hell, inculding your mom and dad and even your sons and daughters! do you how many people have, are and will go to hell? BILLIONS AND BILLIONS AND BILLIONS, compared to the ones HE chooses to save. Doesn't God facilitate our faith. Isn't he the one that draws us? why isn't HE drawing my family and billions of others. Why do I get to go to heaven and even my daughters don't get to go. Please tell me why he did this. How can I ever be happy knowing that my whole family is suffering in hell, please explain. How are you gonna be able to do it? maybe you have some insight that I don't, please advise.
Paul wrote Hebrews because he spoke of Timothy, which no other writers never mentioned him... And yes, christians can lose their salvation.. That's what the falling away is in the end days... Falling denotes you were standing for awhile, but then fell...
Paul penned all of his Epistles with his name or signature so we might not know who wrote Hebrews but scripture definitely says Paul signed every letter he wrote and Hebrew wasnt one of them🙏🏼❤️✌🏼 2 Thessalonians 3:17 Kjv
Apologists for the conflicting genealogies of Jesus presented by (Mathew 1:1-17) and (Luke 3:23-38) have made the argument that the intentions of Mathew and Luke were never to present an accurate record of Jesus's family line but to TELL A STORY. Luke wanted to show that the line of Jesus encompassed all of humanity thus went all the way back to Adam. Mathew wanted to underscore the nobility of Jesus so his genealogy emphasized royal associations. These apologists admit (without apology) that both genealogies are pure fiction invented off the cuff to make a point totally unrelated to the universally understood purpose for a genealogy which is to present a record of a person's ancestry. This creative twisting of reality is another reason why it is so difficult (impossible) for an ordinary person to interpret the Bible's message. The Bible was written by dozens of people with differing perspectives, levels of education, and psychological balance, all of which must be understood by the reader to grasp the message they are attempting to convey. The Bible was not written by a single God who wanted to convey a cohesive message representing a single perspective.
This is very disappointing. First of all Jesus and the Jews/Israelis lived in Israel. Palestine was a name given by the Romans later and sadly this has been also one of the reasons Christians have become antisemitic at some point and we have this issue of Palestinians (yes, indeed on that territory lived Jews and Arabs and Gentiles of all sorts). Second, Chuck Missler has an even better approach and explains the meaning of all the names in the genealogy of Jesus which basically shows God's plan to save humanity and the meaning of all names practically preach the Gospel. Sproul seems academic but not really saying much, in my opinion.

"we must follow what's in the text",
'original text', the Lord name is Yeshua.

That wasn't an accident.
Saul and Ish-Bosheth were from Benjamin, and Abimelech son of Gideon was from a tribe other than Judah.
He was always the king of kings and lord of lords, no matter judah or edom.
