    I felt more cared for by these birds who would sit outside my school than by anyone in the school.

      @@krnixle You can do both! Shama birds are wild in Hawaii! But one will need to go to higher elevations to see the Honeycreepers.

    Shama is fly catcher also likes fruits but one wonder with this bird . Normally we know there are 7 notes (sur) but only shama has capable to sound 8th note (aaram sur).
    If you listen carefully so many words one can feel e.g. Socrates's, properties & mulberries,blueberries etc.Its God given wonder

    I noticed this birds wings are short in comparison to it's tail. I wonder if they fly well?

      It appears to be in a large cage ?
      In which case, it wouldn’t fly well.

      The one in our yard loves roaches. Especially, the brown/gold ones. I used to dig them up while removing weeds and I would toss them to our Shama.

      In Hawaii, they will eat the anole (lizard).
