...we've started V2 matches with my wife and our .223's @100 yards. We use the same format but on a couple of 2" shoot-n-see target with a 1" 5 score and a 1/2" V-bull. Makes its interesting!

We spectators learn a lot not only from watching the shooters but also from your comments and the conditions you guys describe. Thank you!

I've been watching the videos in order of oldest to newest. It would be nice to see a pic of the matchup brackets as things progress. Really appreciate the work you do to put this up.

Ian shoots very well especially watching his bipod hop after each shot and his two handed hold. He apparently is very consistent in the way he shoots. Tracy is also a great competitor. So difficult to repeat wins at these levels. Thanks for these videos. They are a great help!

Yeah, I was really surprised to see the bipod hop completely off the ground repeatedly as well. That's normally a problem with body mechanics and recoil management but he makes it work! It appears his rifle doesn't have a cheek piece and the recoil pad is low on the shoulder/collar bone which might contribute to the hopping.

Enjoy these series. Love the FTR shoots. Interesting to watch the two different shooting styles. Ian holding full recoil and gripping the rifle and Tracy free recoiling with minimum trigger hand hold.
I was in Tracy's corner (sorry Ian). Been following Tracy since the world's in Sth Africa even though I'm an Aussie..

Love to get into it in AU, but its so expensive if i had the Money i would get into it, cheers.✌👌🦘👍.
Like i said i believe the lawn grass down range is making a difference in the wind calls & in the valleys as well IMHO.✌👌🦘👍
I have 3 friends who are in the F Calls FTR in AU and all of them have let me shoot down range at 1,200 yards and when i first was asked to shoot practice, i thought it would be like old ww2 weapons etc or just hunting rifles per say, i was totally blown away, when i asked how much does it cost to get one of the FTR rifles set up ,around 20K plus you then have to know how to hand load ,which brass to use which projectiles ,which powder, primers etc etc, way to much info to learn, sure if you start up with a 2nd hand remington 308, get it blueprinted, Machined etc etc and then start up the leaning knowledge etc, these guys have over 100 years of knowledge between them in shooting hunting and f tr competition shooting, the last time i shot a weapon was when i was 14 years old over 40+ years ago and with the AU SLR 308 semi auto weapon system at 400 yards and my score was 98/100 ,which got me the sniper patch for my uniform.
So i thought yep no worries i will give it a go, ( Plus at the time in 2020,)
I will get in touch with the guys in mid jan 2024 for their practice shoot, i hope will be able to get better scores, like they say its the weapon system + the shooter if he/she knows what to do, the basics, i even proved it, i told 1 of the guys i pulled the shot to the right, after pulling the trigger and sure enough the screen showed the impact to the right of V at the 5 point mark.
Also i did not know i had cataract in my right eye and still scored a 38/50 with the 308 and 48/50 from the 5.56mm at 1,200 yards, i wish i could paste the target image, but i cant something to do with u tube etc. ✌👌🦘👍
