I drove a Mack Dump for a year, and I loved it. Made over $800.00 a day, 6 days a week. Dumping time was slow, I wish you had showed how smooth and fast that truck was. You know what I like about this truck? It would make a great rough terrain camper. Take the dump and cab, convert it into an RV. The mechanical part of it, looks really good. So you stepped out of your Palisade and into a MAN! .....before I came to Australia in 1981, I had a MAN, but on the back was a Wilk Safari De Lux caravan cabin fitted to it. It was our home away from home of all reasons that had everything, including a complete bathroom. Driving cross country differs in a truck as you drive here. Thinking ahead is paramount while driving up a steep hill and being prepared in what could be there when driving down again on the other side you can not see until you are able to look over the top and of the tuck's front end looking down to finally see where you are going. This is a front steerer, imagine a big long front end with a massive hood blocking your view and you do not know the area.
@@AsianPetrolhead At that time camping was only seasonal legal from May to end of October. With a caravan in tow, one had to go when wanting to stay over night to a caravan park. But fastened a caravan on the back of a truck - removing the frame with axles and wheels made this the load on a truck and we could this way camp all year round and camp in the center of town square if we wanted to do so. As long as we did not disturb anyone and we had tanks fitted for gray water, fresh water, septic and disposed things the right way we kept a kind of house on wheels lifestyle on weekends and during holidays.
